Perhaps they weren’t perfect, but watching them do what they love always makes things like this great to watch. And better yet, they’re all rescues!❤️

I do love that with the dog that just did a few laps around the arena, the handler still had the dog go over 1 jump before leaving. You always want to end training on a positive! That was 1 good jump! Good job!
This is the epitome of the idea that it's not about winning, it's about taking part. Such a shame too many people don't understand that sports are games and games should be enjoyed, and there's nothing wrong with being applauded for taking part.
Rescue agility is the most fun of all the shows!

Same. All my pets: cats, dogs, bunnies etc, not a single "pedigree" amongst them, but all the most splendidly good boys and girls, and I wouldn't ever have it any other way.

OMG!!! I love Betty the toy poodle 🐩😍💕💞💖 she had me laughing like a hyena the whole time 😂🤣😂🤣 I really hope to see Betty my favourite toy poodle again at next year crufts 🙏🤞 god bless it's little cotton socks and soul 😍😇😍😇
I do agility with my rescue dog. She has so much fun doing it. She gets to power through it. I even think she might be one day able to complete with the breed dogs!

Can you explain why your dog isn't allowed to compete with breed dogs? Is it a height restriction?
@AnamFatima
2 жыл бұрын
@@deefee701 "Breed dogs" tend to be raised from a very young age to compete in agility/preferred competition. Their genetics, nourishment, basic train all are taken care to give them best advantage to since they little puppies. Yumi456's dog was rescued and so has started from a more disadvantaged position. It's like comparing athletes who have train from childhood to qualify for competitions. There are people who may qualify even after starting their training in adulthood, but it is a bit harder to achive. But I do remember, that a dog which was first shown in rescue agility showcase and a year or so later later in the proper ability competition, so it is possible.

my rescue competes normally and I never had problems, honestly I never really thought about this? I see these differences between rescues and other dogs mostly in america... in my country all dogs are treated the same and rescues don't get any special treatments, they are as good as any other dog. Other dogs might have been selected and raised to do agility, but it's not all about running. I do appreciate that Crufts organised a easy course for rescue dogs, but I'm sure that there are many other rescues and mutts that compete within the normal categories even tho they don't specify that they are rescues
@stpacificotm4653
Жыл бұрын
@@AnamFatima You can also train a mutt and give him the best nutrition if you have the possibility. The point is that breed dogs are selected to compete which means that in their family tree they are all masters in the discipline they compete for (and they are also healthier and cleared from health issues). I got my mutt at 5 months old, at 6 months old he was already in the ring. He is medically cleared and I try to give him a nice diet, he also gets supplements to protect the joins and has no problem competing with other dogs. My trainer has a mutt and two days ago she competed in the world championship IMCA and PAWC. It's more funny and interesting owning a mutt, it's a challenge because you don't know anything about their history

@@stpacificotm4653 I always thought that you couldn't start the jumps training till the dog was 18 - 24 months old. So you could start training the basics as long as you don't let your dog jump, has that changed now?
I love these guys. So much joy. Our last several dogs have been rescues, though my current girl was a rehome. I couldn’t go any other way.
한 마리 한 마리 모두 다 너무 귀엽네요...모두 다 너무 소중하고 멋있어!! 최고야!
I hope and pray all these dogs got good homes and they are all perfect to me
I enjoy that it is emphasized that agility is truly about the dogs having fun and just doing what they love and that’s it not about winning, it’s just dogs having the grandiosity of their lives. I also love agility courses so much, I wish more people could have to opportunity to discover this. Side note: in nintendogs the agility courses that you could do for your dogs were also my favorite, so fun to do, even if it’s a game lol.
Can we have an event once a year where one at a time dogs come out and are allowed to just play and be funny and cute and we can all just watch and laugh and put these videos up on KZread for more constant like this?

Nice show! The fact that they're rescues is icing on the cake!
I'm so happy to see its possible to do this with the handler in a wheel chair. I've just started watching agility competitions, and am hoping to adopt a dog eventually. I'd love to do this a little but running just a few steps gives me migraines. It seems like it would be ok to walk a dog through the course.
i love watching the rescues on crufts
I love to watch these ability competitions (I guess I'm here again, lol), but extra kudos to these trainers who take on rescued dogs from who-knows-what backgrounds, some not so nice ones. Love them all.
Love your dog . See how important and giving us happiness.
Amazing job to all the dogs and handlers
I'm the privileged caretaker of a rescued podenco. this is exactly how she would tackle this course.

That's a weird thought. My dog spent her first year chained up in a backyard. Does that mean cause it only happened the first year of her life and she ended up in a super loving home that she's not a rescue? My dog has nightmares often and wakes up terrified over two years later. She's a rescue who still remembers..
YES YES YES
This was still good this year but it wasn’t the same because of the blue cross’s failure to go.

why are most of the dog handlers overweight
@AnamFatima
2 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of causes for rising obesity in the world. 1. The rising cost of fresh and healthy produce means most of the food available tends to have preservatives and others chemicals used to lengthen the shelf life. 2. Long work hours (including transit from home to work and vice versa) plus doing basic home care (extended if you have pets or family) leaves little time for proper excersize. And saying it from experience, doing an hour here and there won't help. 3. As a result of the above two point, plus other environmental conditions, diseases which may cause weight gain or mess with metabolism are on the rise.
