Q: "Where is this?"
A: Our fire house is located in the town of Willow Street, just south of Lancaster City, Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Q: "What is the spinning thing?"
A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.
Q: "Why is the call so far away?" or "Why does it take so long to get there?"
A: Many of our responses, or at least many of the ones that are uploaded are responding to assist other departments. Usually another firehouse can be seen or is passed by who is already on the call. We can reach the far end of our first due in West Lampeter Twp within 5 minutes, and in Providence Twp about 7.

A: For dash cams I use a GoPro Hero 7, helmet cam videos I use a FireCam 1080

Night response is hazardous, but I'm glad to see traffic responded safely, and your engineer drove to suit the road conditions.

1:11 I always smile seeing The Light From Mars system as well as the Roto-Ray system withstanding the test of time and being implemented still on apparatuses. They don't rotate nor strobe like your typical light does which is probably what makes them so special and eye-catchy. TLFM is just weird how it wiggles in a W-M-W-M type of pattern, but it being so jarring which is what makes it so good. Also, mandatory "power call for the win" claim. Frickin' love that tone. 5:03 Loving seeing more departments start to incorporate soft-strobe on their response vehicles. The biggest issue with scene control for years was aggressive strobing on scene would blind incoming motorists. Soft strobe is a looooot easier on the eyes and makes it easier to make out of personnel are standing in the street
Keep on Q peaking, I can hear my local fire trucks from 3 miles away.

yeah uh, don’t keep the Q peaked, because higher frequencies are more easily muffled by car sound insulation and static frequencies turn into background noise quickly.
The problem with fire truck videos is they're short but that's also a good thing because response time is critical but that also means theres less runtime lol.

I don’t know where you are located but the drivers in your area always do an excellent job of pulling over. I love seeing it! Except for those couple of trucks but I wonder if they just couldn’t find space to pull over or were actually not good drivers.
I think its time R-50 gets a new LED light bar, you can barely see the flashs of the antique on it.

There's rumors that there's a replacement committee in the works that will eventually purchase a new rig to replace this current one.
Sound frequency has been proven, for many years now, to extinguish fires. Why hasn’t it become the “go to” method? Just curious! ❤️☀️

Should watch your speed. When all those cars where pulled over to the side, you guys seemed to be going pretty fast not knowing what was ahead and then just like that; there were oncoming headlights!
