I’m planning on picking up some board books at the bag sale weekend after this coming weekend!

What a great way to show off beautiful art papers!!! Off to the craft room... 😁

Wonderful video your warm talk through makes us all want to have a go. You say you are not sure if you are crafter, Artist? You are a story teller, with your journal ideas you bring to life a brand new adventure from an old book. Love how the open pages are like welcoming arms inviting us in. Love the papers you made. I just stumbled onto your videos and am really enjoying them. I liked covering the board books but especially liked the covers you made out of the grocery bags and stamped them. You're very create and I can't wait to see what else you'll be up to.

Hope you will give it a try! When I first started trying collage just a few years ago I really didn’t know what I was doing. The more I did it the better I got at it. I don’t feel like I’m an expert by any means, but I’m usually satisfied with what I make now. So my advice is to just start doing it as much as possible, watch KZread videos, and I think your knowledge and confidence will grow💖

Hi Martha. This was a totally fun, vibrant little board book! It's the first time I've ever seen you, and I do know your filling in for the wonderful Nina, while she's on vacation. I'm in your court, I too just LOVE bright colors, yet most of my work is vintage and lots of old photos, browns and sepias. But I'm so happy to see you took the plunge and tried these bright colors. It's SO beautiful! I also might add, I love you very soothing voice and wonderful instructions. Thank you.

These are beautiful. I didnt quite see hpw you did the cover in the end? Did you wrap the paper aeound the edges of thr pages?

Thanks! I attached papers on the front and back covers in the same manner as the inside pages except for the spine area. I cut away the original spine of the book so that it can expand. I think I used a heavy duty bookbinding tape on the new spine, but you can use another kind of tape - with extra glue - or fabric. I hope this explanation makes sense. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

What paper pad did you use for the second more vintage book? Thank you for the lovely video

Thanks so much for watching. I bought that paper many years ago, so I’m not sure if it’s still available. It’s 6 1/2” Paper Pad called Anthology by Kaisercraft

So if you want this journal to be a journal as I do, can you show examples of what paper you'd use over the top of so many decorative seams already on the page. Would you use lined paper? Thank you so much!

I think you could add a heavier weight paper such as cardstock or mixed media paper. Sorry I don’t write in journals so I don’t have any examples to show.

Hey I was wondering about the container you have washi tape in. Can you tell me where you got it?

I bought my washi tape container at Michael’s or Joann several years ago. It’s a clear container with three drawers.
