Agreed! I ran it at the SLC open to good success. Every model takes practice reps
At 15:20 when the green-painted Executioner comes up, it really sells me on this tank all the more (looks-wise). Seeing it without a marine plonked on top of the main turret makes it look a LOT better! I'm thinking about getting one of these to deliver some Eradicators - just trying to decide whether I'd want that to be 6 of them in a Repulsor, or 3 of them in a Repulsor Executioner!
Just a tip: you can use "Squad tacticts" strat to come closer to your repulsor and then use "Emergency combat embarkation"
I discovered the Repulsor Executioner a few months ago. The 9th Edition Rules (Dark Angels and Space Marines) made him a very accurate and hard hitter 😁
In my Dark Angels list i always run the Executioner with a Redemptor, the heavy hitting i get just keeps the enemy at bay while my Terminators can charge into them. In 9th i spent 5 minutes rolling dice for every single one of its guns and loved it. Glad it was consolidated lol
It's really hard for me to get over the 3+ save on this thing....I also play Black Templars, so ours is 225 points which sort of makes it less appealing.

Agreed, T12 W16 is nice, but it dies surprisngly easy due to its 3+ save. I've fielded both variants a few times in 10th so far and they've yet to impress me. There are a bunch of AT-guns in this game which are great with their only real drawback being AP-1 (i.e. Shockcannons), and against Repulsors they chew right trough it in the blink of an eye.

ugh I play necrons a lot, the S14-15 guns with flat 4 and flat 6 damage and AP of -4 really hurts them. You can use CP but if you come up against anyone with a vect style strat (like callidus or Nemesor) then it can really mess up AOC if it's CP cost is upped.

Yeah that is my feeling. Just take a redemptor or spend a few more points and grab a kratos from legends. The redemptor will give you melee and -1 damage, and the kratos gets a 2 up save, 18 wounds, and lots of guns with the ability to shoot blast weapons in melee.

Dark angels player here: you mentioned we can give the tank lethal hits or ignores cover, but we can also do something else: the same Fire Discipline stratagem that grants ignores cover also grants assault. Assault doesn't add to the damage, but it does add a lot of utility. My opening move has been to advance my tank into no mans land to hopefully capture an objective and/or get behind some good cover while also getting the angle on some better targets than what my enemy intended to provide me.

You’ve only just noticed when indomitus came out we were given several aspects of primaris warrior units (eradicators -fire dragons/ inceptors -swooping hawks, assault intecessers - scorpions , intercessors dire avengers, etc and to have more exarchs than exarchs we were given primaris lieutenants , also for some reason we were given lots of stubbers which should be in the imperial guard army,
Always a blessing when I order a unit and you make a video talking about them in the next couple days ^^ I'm super excited to run my Sternguards in one of these with a Bolter Discipline Librarian in there; just hoping they release the multipart box for them soon! I might even have to throw a Techmarine in there as well. Love these videos, brother! Thank you for all you do - you're the best.
I'll stick to my dreadnoughts, if only because I don't want to deal with all those guns.
I like the repulsors ability. Nice with heavy infantry. But I prefer a 100pts impulsor with gunplatform for sternguard or hellblasters. You can just shoot as a gun platform and get a 5+ invul save with the shield.
I discovered this atrocity last friday after work, a little 10th ed battle with my grey knights, between this and a redemptor dreadnought completely anihilated an entire unit of 10 models in a single phase I was not happy
I just finished my 2nd one, lots of little bits and bobs. Playing a mechanized space marine unit which will get the Atraeus super heavy. It's fun to play.
This is perfect. I play Black Templars and all I have right now vehicle wise is an Impulsor so I've been trying to figure out which would be better to get Repulsor vs Executioner
I have one of each of the Repulsor and Repulor Executioner. I use both in my 3000 points army. The Repulsor I use as an infantry support tank; carrying two 5-man squads to the front. Or a single Terminator squad if I don't Deep Strike them into battle. The Executioner; I've had that in my 2000 points army since it hit the shelves. It's been my main anti-armour tank. And you can't build both from the Executioner kit. The hull sprues are the same for both, yes. But they come with different turret sprues.
My favorite strat for using the repulsor is to have a 10 man infernus squad with Vulkan He’stan and a Primaris Apothecary attached hop inside and ride up the board to the objective that He’stan marks at the beginning of the game. Once the get there the can disembark and sit on the objective and use He’stans flamer mark to kill anything trying to move up with the Apothecary to resurrect any dead. If something ends up getting close enough and charging them they can all just dive back in the repulsor
Crazy to hear that this thing is strong now. I was getting table in V9 with my 2 repulsors, but I kept playing them bcs they look amazing, and like chunky tanks alot. Now I'm not even playing anymore, sold all my marines, and thos beaches are rekking. Jeez
I just finished painting my Repulsor Executioner. Can't wait to use it in game.
I really wish this thing had a 2+ Save, to really fill that Land Raider role.

Agreed, but then GW would sell fewer Land Raiders I guess?
They are just so, sooo goofy looking. If they had tracks I'd probably buy a few just to paint them.
Just as I was playing about with them in my lists on the app. I'll definitely be adding 9ne to my army soon. ☺️
I use the executioner in my White Scar army. It's really fun.
I got a repulsor executioner for 80 AUD 2nd hand.. I think I'll keep it
I use the executioner with the laser as a nice drop pod for some flamestorm aggressors that then proceeds to delete whatever I point it at
I've just a lot of fun with my Rep. Exec. in a few games against Custodes and CSM. It trundles up, does some good shooting and then disgorges my assault intersessors and captain into the fray to bank an objective or keep melee troops busy.
I use squad tactics to help protect the unit that got out of my repulsor and shot. That way the squad doesn’t have to endure a shooting round and hope to “get charged”. If the enemy moves within 9 inches, pop the stratagem and have them get back in. I love throwing sternguard in this thing and safely run them up the field to decimate their target
So...all the stubbers and the gunner weapons are all "the defensive array"...in addition to the side bolters? What about all the missiles?
Personally I just want a bare bones dedicated transport for Primaris like the Rhino. The Repulsor is only about 75 points more than a Land Raider and now that Primaris can take them, I'm not sure it's that great. Seems pretty expensive points wise. The impulsor is good, but only transports 6 guys. I think there needs to be a middle of the road option. Personally I'd like an upscaled rhino.
I love the executioner. I have 2. Every game they play in, they are an absolute menace.
I pretty much need one of these to finish my force to carry Azrael & his 10 sternguard friends. However it's just too much tank for what i'd want. So I am hoping they bring in a primaris rhino in the future.

Didn’t know how strong it was imma get one or two as soon as possible
As a black Templars player: 225 points for a 3+ save is kinda meh I take a Land Raider to deliver my sword brethren
Who painted that f'king awesome Raptors tank? Does he have a site or something? That is an amazing shade of green.
So many guns on these things yo resolve, had a recent game as Necrons vs Ultramarines with a Repulsor Executioner and 2 Redemptors targeting a unit of Necron Warriors with Cryptothralls and a 5+++ from a Technomancer. With Oath of Moment and all the defensive rolls for warriors along with multiple reanimation protocol activations it felt like the first two ultramines shooting phases took about 3 hours to complete😂. If my doomsday ark hadnt got a clean shot into the executioner then we'd probably still be playing.
I kind of prefer the Land raider with the 2+ armor save, BUT with the oath of moment changes as the upcoming new detachments my Astreus is starting to look like it might be good value on the table:)
I have one of these for my templars and it absolute runs the board. This coupled with a gladiator reaper for clearing hoards is kinda gross
So if I already had a Lancer am I better with a Repulsor for functionality of delivering a large unit of Sternguard down the field, or an Executioner for the big vehicle killing capacity plus some small unit delivery
Great unit
Wish it carried 14, not being able to take a full gravis squad WITH a character is pretty hobbling and very annoying
You have one new patreon supporter ;-)
"Eldar have hovertanks and I want one too!"
Newbie here. Can you magnetize a repulser executioner to be just a regular one if say on another game you wanted more transport than damage? Is there any major model difference between the two besides the tank turret on the top? Great vid and I'm really interested in getting some armor into my space marines list. I've got lots of infantry, characters and elites now but am really lacking in the heavy fire department besides my redemptor and ballistus dreads. Keep up the great work!

The Executioner is an incredible beast. However it shouldn't be used as a transport. I use the transport ability to have a key unit survive the first turn of shooting then disembark. If you move it up as you would a transport, it just gets focused down very quickly. It's 3+ is disappointing, especially when guard or admech tanks have a 2+ and invuln for 2/3 the price.
It's nice, as The repulsor does what it's supposed to do as long as the terrain is willing and the tactical doctrine is active. In combination with Sternguard it is really good. Anyone who survives the impulsor will be finished off by the sternguard and ideally they can shoot again. I prefer the heavy bolter, especially against opponents with too much infantery like Orks and Necrons.

Why must the repulser fire all its guns at the same target?
If it had the 2+ save it deserves it'd be a favourite, but at a 3+ it isn't quite tough enough
I think it doesn't look too bad, however it's ability is pretty garbage. It'd prob be better if it could at least re-roll wounds, or get a +1 to wound, against monsters/vehicles. Or heck, re-roll its damage. A +1 to hit against units UNDER half-strength, is pretty lame when you already have the heavy keyword for its las-weapon, and possibly a techmarine smothering oil on it every turn so it can shoot better for daddy. The +1 hit just feels redundant at this point.

Ok so at the expense of sounding like a dummy, why isn’t the number of attacks the repulsors have up at the top? Does each individual weapon system get to fire, and that’s why the number of attacks is listed with the weapon profile?
Repulsors are good only because some broken primaris units and laser destroyer. Gw gutted them. just bring gladius tanks.
I only own this because it was included in one of those battle boxes. It took me years to finally paint up in 9th, because it had a few use-cases. Right now it melts like butter in a volcano. It's missing something on the defensive front, anything from less damage taken, an invul save or an FNP, ON TOP of the 2+ it deserves. Besides that, it's the same disappointing model it's always been, the grav-theme is awkward, there are too many guns on it, it's a little too small to really convey just how massive it's supposed to be, it has an absolutely nightmarish amount of edges that need highlighting and finally when it's not an all-in-one package points wise, you feel like you're getting something underpowered for a chunk of points or that you're sunk-cost-fallacy'ing even more points into it for what should just be the performance norm. Gladiators are just better. Easily dedicated for what you want them to be or just cheap, reliable and long range anti-armour, somewhat protected against nerfs due to having that actual meaningful choice of guns. Land Raiders were supposed to be the Nr. 1 pick of heavy tanks for marines this edition and then they just overpriced them to death. I hate 10th.
I just built my first Repulsor 2 weeks ago and I must say it is one of the worst modern kits I have witnessed so far. The mold lines are egregious and the contact points on the sprue are placed without thought. It's very hard work to clean all those parts up before you put this thing together. Took me hours just to clean and then it does not even fit together very well. There is a lot of gaps to be filled. Horrible kit but I like the look of the tank once it's done.

It's a blocky ground tank pretending to be a skimmer?
Nah, T12 16W is all nice and dandy, but the 3+ save sort of ruins the whole package. It dies much easier than one would think. Plenty of AT-guns in 40k right now where the only drawback is poor AP (i.e. -1) but otherwise have good S and D (12+ / 3+), and they chew right trough a Repulsor in the blink of an eye. If I want big SM-tanks I'd much rather field Landraiders.
3+ Armor save is just too risky on such a big unit. Land raider has less guns, but that 2+ save does a lot for its value..
i think this thing should be 2+ armour save....but its ability is very much garbage
