Vaccines for most part are very good thing. However due to excessive fear we have made mistakes with some of the COVID vaccines. People get your shots. With COVID we may have jumped the gun without adequate studies. Perhaps they hadn’t been sufficient tested to be sure they had an acceptable risk to benefits. Not being allowed to sue manufacturers of COVID vaccines should have made it clear of the risk involved so now who pays for the losses the state ultimately. Glad I have had all my shots up to date but I see people now not trusting vaccines even more than ever. Even the proven vaccines. Let’s never let fear have us doing things we shouldn’t or at least see benefits over risk more honestly. Our authorities should decide, not the “WHO” that seems like a cop out following WHO recommendations blindly. Hate we did all the wrong things in California. I do hope we learn more from it. If there is another Event like this again. Population increasing we may see more often then ever 100 years? I got so sick with each Covid shot but I survived so far. But it seems WHO isn’t the place to trust anymore till they do some changes. I understand politicians not wanting to make the decisions so hand it off to WHO (world healthcare organization) Next time perhaps you could just do a coin toss may given better answers then lockdowns and mask for a virus now if it had been germ things we did might have worked better. Sad we follow blindly in our ignorance. Seems nothing might have been better than what we did. Hate when fear and politics gets in the way of science and hate those who say follow the science even before data supports that. Let’s put money in USA for scientists to give us safer choices. Why do we always farm it out to those with agendas

It is political. I’m a fan of NDT, but he should know that that was a political statement for two reasons. One, any data, statistic, or fact can be skewed with the proper phrasing to get any meaningful from it, that the speaker wants. And with stuff like causation vs correlation, people could say it’s not Republicans vs Democrats getting vaccinated, but people living in urban areas vs people living in rural areas getting vaccinated. The rural areas happen to have more Republicans and the urban areas happen to have more Democrats. Two, people are now trained to know that every statement is political. It’s not that people don’t trust facts, statistics, or data, they just don’t trust the speaker, the person using the data, because they know how easy it is to keep the “facts” the same but word them in a way to get what you want. Republicans 2+2=4, Democrats 9-5=4, “Why do you have to make it political, bro?” Anytime you split people up into two groups based on their political party, it is always, 100% of the time, a political statement and NDT should know that. Democrats use the color blue, Republicans use the color red is a political statement.

Something is occurring with how we perceive statements. I had a conversation in the comment section on another video where Niel Tyson was discussing things. It was a short video just like this but the other person completely misunderstood everything said. In order to explain what was actually said I typed out each sentence stated by Niel Tyson and what that sentence meant. I believe this showed the other person my perspective and what Niel Tyson meant and not what the other person thought he said. He still did not believe my thoughts on Niel Tyson, at least not all of them. I believe it must come partially from how people normally attack others for their personal beliefs. Potentially we are misunderstanding things said because of this. Also when we hear things that we don't believe we think that the person who made the statement is lying or ignorant on the subject material being discussed. I have talked with some Republicans/conservatives about what Niel Tyson and other scientists are discussing with us. When they disagree with the scientists they tell me that the scientists don't know what they are talking about or are lying to us and manipulating us. It's troubling. Lol but it's also fascinating
