It might be a replica but I own alot of original m1 helmets and this is perfect, my cousin wore this when we were lighting fireworks just for fun and so was I but a original. Anyways we lit those huge fire works and it went wrong and rocks and Dupree flew every where and this helmet Actually stopped a huge rock so my cousin didn't get a head injury, so now he wears this every time when we do something like explosive things.

Compared to another budget M1 helmet I've purchased, I was actually impressed with this one. I will definitely be using it for my Korean War airsoft loadout and will definitely be purchasing another in the future.

The leather chin strap goes over the front of the steel helmet to help hold the liner and steel together.

I ordered one of these on a second hand website for re-enactments Becasue I have a original m1951 m1 but it’s kinda getting old and starts falling apart so I ordered this

Hey I have a question, I bought one of these and has to return it, it was a very tight fit in my WW2 Schuelter m1 helmet, didn’t go in all the way either, is there a reason for that? I would buy again if it would fit decent

This one looks a little better than the fox tactical one. The fox helmets rolled metal is warped and is painted the wrong green with no grit. The liner on theirs is kinda crappy too.

I actually just got a text tactical one and if am being honest it's not that bad maybe a couple chip paints here and there but if you could make it into a ww2 style helmet with the cork and everything it wouldnt look that bad

Probably a great reproduction but I don’t suggest using this in reenactments without modifying it.

@@ITicklefish08 I’d recommend getting a better liner if you can better paint with corking better chinstraps they won’t even work for Vietnam because they look to b very cheap and is missing the break away mechanism and the shell could work for ww2 reenacting but it would just be all around better to get a reproduction

Shell works well for ‘nam reenactment. Just needs a cover and new chinstrap.

How big is it ? Does it fit 28?

Is that a Parish helmet you're working on?

Not sure, honestly. I have never seen a helmet from At the Front in person before. I did look it up on their website and seen that their M1 is more expensive, made of Imported parts, but assembled in the U.S. The At the Front helmet also seems to be a bit more historically accurate with a Khaki suspension interior as opposed to the MUS helmet that has the olive drab suspension. But not too big of a deal in my opinion. - But regardless... both helmets look to be a fantastic option... just depends on what price point you want to jump in at. - Hope this helps!

At the Front is more expensive because they use real ww2 helmets in the correct configuration with sewn chinstraps and cork texture as well as utilizing correct restored ww2 liners in some cases

Hmmm. I know that some M1 Helms have the camo nets, but we currently do not have anything. Also, for reference, I tried putting the German Net with Clips on our M1 Reproduction and it looked absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend.

Is there a warranty or a return policy? My friend decided to smack it real hard with a rubber sledgehammer while I was wearing it and broke one of the metal pins holding the webbing. I’m lucky because he didn’t injure my spine or neck. He also threw it and messed up where the chin strap hangs so I had to straighten it with a hammer. Also my mom threw away the loose clip at the end of one of the chin straps.

I don’t believe that the helmet is ww2 and the sand grit is a postwar type, the ww2 one were cork texture also the chinstrap is Vietnam style

Also the liner is wrong (no prob though hard to make those) but your advertising is wrong

A WW2 M1 helmet shell would have sewn on straps and the finish is cork and not sand.

If your talking about helmets before 1943 then yes you are correct later than that your wrong they went to swivel bales in late 1942 early 1943

The m1 helmet is issued from 1942 until the 80s (in the US). This replica looks more like a postwar helmet.

Is the steel pot crappy I have a tactical fox m1 and the shell is just crappy some of the metal chipped paint chipping off and it's sharp on some edges does this helmet have this problem

A 'Nam helmet not WWII.

Why even bother with replica M1? They made like 22 million of them. An authentic issue post WWII Korea/Vietnam helmet will not run you much money. WWII issue fixed bail will run you some money though. Even the Euro M1 clones are cheap and just as close to the design. I love my Norwegian M58 clone.
