I really like the idea of using the netted pots. I've just been using clear plastic cups for my hoyas in leca. Do you find the heat mat makes a difference? I hear some people saying it causes root rot :/ trying to grow some plants from seed and have been considering getting one!

I like net pots for the ease of flushing my leca. The cups are a little more difficult to flush for me. I do not have issues with my roots rotting in leca. So far, knock on wood, I have not lost any leca plants to root rot. I highly recommend a heating mat. It really helps the roots grow quickly. Especially in the winter months.
