Nice work!
Perfect video thanks👌
At 1:33 is an important message (message in a bottle...:-).. ) thank you !
I have Viking I inherited but need to do the wrists. What type of glue do I need to use for vulcanized rubber to latex? Also, could I install silicon seals instead of latex? Your videos are awesome for beginners to experts IMO

I’m using Rema tip top sc4000 for all of my project and it never failed me. For vulcanized rubber and latex it’s perfect. For installing the silicone seals you’ll need an one of the module systems for wrist seals. I have videos on my channel showing how to install almost all that is available out there
What is this Nylon stripe you're using to position the seal ? where do you source that ?

Thank you for your clip. Could you let me know the Tape(lastly adhered) name?
@DrySuitProjects

I think you referring to “aqua tape” which is essentially a neoprene tape that used to seal and reinforce the seams

When did you use the SC-4000
@DrySuitProjects
4 жыл бұрын
99% percent of all the works with the dry suit I'm doing with SC-4000. I use aquaseal in some rare occasions, for example sealing the neoprene boots or socks since neoprene is very porous and its pretty difficult to make the adhesion water tight

@@DrySuitProjects so should I use aquaseal instead of sc-4000 if my drysuit is made of neoprene and my seal is made of latex?
@DrySuitProjects
4 жыл бұрын
skypap I still would use the sc4000 applying some extra layers of the glue on the neoprene. In case there are leaks you can apply thin layer of the aqua seal on the boundary between the seal end the suit. To glue the something with aqua seal is not recommended since it takes a long time to set.
is it the same process with a drysuit made of neoprene?
@DrySuitProjects

Same with the neoprene suit, however, its more difficult to remove the old boots/socks without damaging the neoprene

@@DrySuitProjects yeah I had to remove 1cm on each sleeve ... Is it easyer to remove a zipper on a neoprene drysuit ? Will I damage the neoprene?
@DrySuitProjects

It depends how it was attached initially. But yes - be extra careful to not to damage the neoprene
did you use cotol 240?
@DrySuitProjects
4 жыл бұрын
I use cotol 240 only to speed up the curing time of aquaseal (aquasure). Without it the it takes 12 hours to set, with it about 2 hours. You should mix it in 4/1 proportion (4 parts of aquaseal and 1 part of cotol 240)
