Thanks for the video. My 2008 Ava 1st panel, passenger side started to corrode so I have to remove and clean it out instead of buying a used one.

Helpful vid like many of your others - didn't realize you could remove those handles! - My avalanche is in about the same situation with its tonneau cover. Love the truck, just a lot of these little yet sometimes absurdly expensive things going on it. Gunna see if I can stretch a little more life out of those with a cleaning and enough gel oil haha.

Can you post the video of you restoring the weatherstripping

Great job and my"new" 2008 truck is in much need. But a bolt sheared off in the top on a really corroded handle. Any tips for removal? Thanks for the post.

Hey rev, unfortunately because the tonneaus are plastic you cant weld a new nut on. So all you can really do is get some Cobalt metal drill bits and start with the smallest bit and drill out the middle a little until you can get a rever thread bolt or bolt extractor in to remove it. Unfortunately since its plastic you cant weld a nut on. So just get some cobalt metal drill bits and start small and slowly work your way up drilling out the center of the bolt. Good luck. Dang, I snapped my screws and can't get them unscrewed. Heads snapped off the handle.

How hard is it to replace the gutters in there?

Fixed my leak, Now I still have only on the tailgate and midgate. Also you will need to readjusted
