I have the most beautiful view of a neighbor’s 2 huge pink dogwoods this time of year…I think they started out as at least 3 and 4 individual trees, and are now 30x30 and just a cloud of deep pink. Between those and Garden Answer’s doings, coffee time is perfect here in the very acidic-soiled PNW. Happy spring everyone!

In TO, Ash and Elms were planted along boulevards in many parts of the city and they’ve had to be taken out due to severe infestation and the strict ban on moving wood/timber is still in effect. So sad to lose all that majestic canopy!

Sorry to say but… laughed so hard when you hit your head on the bird feeder. My grandson cracked his head on mine last summer, he commented how he hated when he did that. No more than 10 minutes later my daughter ran into it and dropped the biggest f-bomb. ( a word we try not to use around here) we all laughed until we couldn’t stand up straight. Gardening has its hazards. I love the sound of a smaller size viburnum. Might have to see if I can find one.

When I think of Oregon berries I think of boysenberries, a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry. We ate a lot of boysenberry pie at my aunt's place in Portland. Have you thought of growing them (or maybe you don't like them)? As for blackberries, all I ever knew about blackberries is that they'd plant themselves on the fringes of abandoned sites. Due to this, would they maybe prefer no fertilizer, poor soil, and hardly any attention? Maybe they'd like it if you ignored them? Been watching you since COVID. Thanks for such refreshing content. It has really kept me going in my own yard.

I did have to give it a small bit of water but green growth appeared in spring. Success. I've moved the pot outside and its doing well. Maybe at end of season try moving it to the high tunnel where its still cold but out of the winds. Hope it works for you. Enjoy your channel. Thank you for it.

Well maybe I'll try blueberries in a pot, because it's not working for me in the ground. In my zone 4 Alberta with our stupid deep freeze winter weather of -40's Celsius that can happen, I'll need to bury the pot under a huge drift of snow to protect it. Works for my lavender.

You keep making everywhere more and more beautiful! I hope the editor turned up the sound on your head collision with the bird feeder and you didn’t hit it that hard! Sadly, I have done things like that to myself too. Yeah spring!!!

😂 loved the music stopping because that’s what it’s like when you get an unexpected injury or scare. Everything seems to stop for a second. Sorry it seemed funny watching you since you didn’t seem injured too bad.

Thinking a creeping ground cover perennial that smells good when walked upon would be interesting around picnic table... So enjoy your channel. Makes my solidary life joyful.

Hi Laura and Aaron 😊 That Ash tree looks amazing for climbing. Do the kids ever want to climb trees in your yard? I was a tree climber when I was young so it looks very inviting ☺️
