Hi. At BW 13 classic. There are two drains on transom. Both are around 2.5 cm diameter. The depth of upper hole is two inches, & bottom one depth is around 10 inches. Where can I find the same threaded fitting on this video? I need it also with thread plug. What do you recommend for this 13 ft boat ?

+Mr Chevy The thru hull fittings are produced by a company called Forespar. We purchased these tools from them quite a few years ago but are not sure if they still offer them, though. www.forespar.com

I just replaced 1 1/8" perko thru hull fittings using a spark plug gapper tool ... basically feel free to take any piece of 1/4" + metal (you can buy at home depot) and cut it into the shape you need to fit the reliefs in the thru hull fitting

3M 4200 or if you are brave 5200....I use 5200 on items I know will stand the test of time.

@@adamrichardson6918 4200 for thru hulls. 5200 is permanent and if the thru hull is damaged, it will be hell to remove.

This is a shameful display of poor quality workmanship by Boston Whaler. The questionable demonstration, coupled with the use plastic through hulls not only for motor wells but also below the waterline, makes me wonder why we paid a premium for our boats. A proper leak free installation on any boat would include: 1. the removal of the previous fitting and all caulking; 2. The cleaning and preparation of opening and mating surfaces, including the use of specialized cleaning agents to ensure a good bond; and, 3. the tightening of the fitting with a torque wrench to factory specification to ensure the fitting is not over stressed. No wonder the outer flange of the cockpit drain on my boat snapped off underwater and water filled the sump. How much more could it cost to do it right and use brass through-hulls to ABS standards?
