Replacing a bad alternator on a Thermo King Evolution tripac. Now I have a fully functional APU. YAY
After dealing with an APU that seems to want to throw an alternator code and shut down here and there, I figured I better replace the bad one. In this video I show what you go throw to change one out. It's a little lengthy but if you watch my channel, you know I get long winded. After replacing it it was apparent that it was the alternator that was bad and causing my problems. It's working like a charm now.

Thanks Doug. Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and the 2nd is what classify as our real anniversary of when we officially got together. Hey Tony 👋 ! So glad you getting the apu fixed because fuel is too high to be idling a truck. Your channel is the best for guys who think they want to be a owner operator. It's no joke you are not going to just be a driver you have to get your hands dirty sometimes or give away your profits to the shops. You show the good and the things you have to do sometimes. I just bought a new go green apu. Not even out the shop having problems. Something going on with the altenator

My apu not start up pump clicking and alt sigh comes on i change alternator still same not crank alt sigh Any suggestions

Check the grounding Cables on the alternator. Some times they build up with corrosion and will keep it from working.

You need to get a Green APU because if you need parts you can get them anywhere and not have to go to a truck parts place and speed a lot of money.

according to the computer I've spent around $4,800 in Maintenace and repairs.

Yes they are. I had a nice 19' boat with a Volvo pentex inboard motor and loved it. Well the ex wife made sure I had to sell it after only being in the water 6x. They who bought it blew up the motor the 1st day out. Lol
Where's the rest of the video? You just started the removal process of the alternator, but it cut out before you successfully removed the alternator or installed the new alternator.

I actually a thin rubber mat that I got out of the trailer on a paper roll load pulling a box truck. I was just too brain fogged to think of putting it down. I will use it in dirt. Snow or gravel when crawling under the truck
