Replacing 4 Tires On Filthy Machines ASMR

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I don't enjoy replacing tires however it comes with the territory if you work as an auto mechanic. We used to have dedicated tire guys. Nobody wants to work anymore.
FYI the customer did not want new TPMS kits installed.

    I think this video makes the customer appreciate mechanic's ability, strength and knowledge of tire replacement. I watched this video while my pickup truck was getting 4 new tires 😅

    100% crew is probably short staffed, So it's hard to maintain a clean shop, when your greeting customers and doing your job right. The correct way. No comebacks. Comebacks for loyal customers sir.

    Hope you can help me. What tool is making that really loud sound in the very first couple seconds of this video right when the car is driving in? I live in an apartment and the guy upstairs is using that really loud tool on something he's working on and I need to know the name of that tool. He's also using one it might be the same one that is in the very first few seconds that goes really loud kind of like vrip vrip. I've heard them use them on my tires when I've had my tires changed and it's so incredibly loud that they wear ear protection but I don't know the name of that tool. But I heard it in the like I said the very first 2-3 seconds of your video before you actually came in while the car was driving in.

    If the customer wants the tires back they usually ask for that beforehand and it's written on the paperwork...

  • @asoftstring5533

    @asoftstring5533

    It depends on wheel size, difficulty of hub caps, and if the wheel needs to be dismounted reversed or wheel facing up. Afterwards, tire needs to be balanced with the proper cone. The balancing can take just as much time as the tire dismounting,mounting process. Every car is different. If he would have worked on a truck, this video would have been longer.

    on top of what @asoftstring5533 said, a shop can be really really busy. Even if there's only a few cars in the shop. A tech might be working on two or even three cars at the same time. Things like finding tires and waiting for tires to deflate can take a long time. They also have to inspect other parts of your vehicle to cover their ass in case of liability. They might be required to check your brakes and tires for deformation or wear before they send you out on the road. They have to make sure people are torquing things and inflating things exactly to the manufacture's specifications. Because if you ride down the road 10 minutes and then your brakes go out and you wrap around a pole and die. The courts and your family will immediately go "well he just came for firestone and they said his car was just fine". They want that whole scenario to be avoided in the first place. You'd be surprised how much paperwork goes into changing a tire, or an oil change.
