You could fast-forward it to the important part, like I did. Maybe you need a video to demo that.

If it hadn't for you I could have broken that quite pricey toothbrush!😂Thanks bud!
Here’s a tip: After removing the brush head...use the old brush head to brush out the caked-on dried toothpaste.

I don’t mind the length of this video because you didn’t have to make it at all and I’m so thankful that you did 🙏🏾 it was easy to follow along especially for elderly people who may need help too

You are sooo right!
Here is another tip - if you don't have the handy dandy attachment shown here - (which I did not) - use pointed tweezers to press on the same spot, this will unlock the head as well. I needed TRT to get me started!!! Thank you.

This is the longest video in the world. I literally screamed!
My impatient mind grabbed a scissor to tap the lock, my idiosy was about to break the tooth brush and finally the common sense clothed in White barged in. I flaked my lazines, typed it and ye was found. Thank you. Also, shout-out to the trick in the comment section, was using a cotton bud until I came upon the comment, The Old Bristles 😁
I've replaced many of these heads successfully. Also ruined a few. Sometimes they just won't come off the toothbrush to be replaced. So I have that problem today and went looking for hopeful some hack or extra tips on making it easier. I have arthritis in my wrists and several finger joints so that's not helpful either. Meantime we have very hard water so perhaps that plays a role in causiing the old head to freeze on so well. I'm going to get a dental pick and see if I can't get a better leverage of pushing the white button that holds it in place that the tool often seems to fail in it's execution. Not sure why it should. By the way I put real listerine mouth wash full strength in a small misting spray bottle 8ounce size. And every time I rinse off the brush from using it I spray twice to three times the brush itself over the sink. This prevents hardwater build up on the brush and also seems to keep the clear brush cover clean too. And turns out it helps prevent that gunk build up on the vibrating rod area of the inside when you remove the brush. Which means that really if my hardwater is the issue keeping the head from releasing you wouldn't think so. In the end I just find it interesting some times they remove without any trouble then other times it turns into almost a nightmare of a struggle. This video is great however for those who have never changed out an old and new brush head before. Also one more note Oral B also makes new version with so called Whitening heads and or White model and their heads interchange with the original battery. But don't mix up any of the AC plug in models replacement heads or the smaller one round polishing head they do not fit these original Dual action battery versions.

This review was helpful...as I watched the demo I realized I was doing it right but it was not budging...after reading this comment I realized that it is probably the hard water we have here and so I was a bit more aggressive and did finally remove it and yes, lots of hard water build up. So I cleaned it well and put new head on...I love the idea of the Listerine in a spray bottle, that will also keep it more germ free I would imagine and hopefully help, as you said, with the hard water. Thank you for the video and thank you for this response with a great idea!
I bought some replacement yesterday. Came here to figure out how to change it.
Thank you! I'm going to used the old head to brush the old grungy dried toothpaste oout of the vibrator before I put on the new head.
No reason why it such be so hard that we have to go to a video lol but here I am.
Thanks for the link. I wasn’t able to find it on amazon. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Thanks. I forgot about plastic "key". I put all my toothbrush heads and top part in half hot water-half hydrogen peroxide, soak them for half an hour, then use clean brush or toothpick to clean all the nooks and remove food between bristles. Another hot water rinse, and they are like new.

Best DIY video EVER! Thank you!
A jewelers flat headed screwdriver works too. ,Do not be rough taking the old brush out. If you bend the metal rod, you will have to disassemble it more and straighten the rod or it won't work.
thanks that only took me years before I find this video to figure out.
Thanks for show how to take it off😁
Thank you!
I just used a thumb tack to stick in there and lift up. Easy peasy!🙂

Good. Sorry
I WAS going to replace my Oral B head but I see they want to make it PROPRIETARY way to get the thing off plus thats MONTHS of gunk, saliva, germs and maybe even roaches have feed on that, its all stuck in there and youre putting that back in your mouth. Changed my mind on short-headed replacements, I prefer the longer replacing ones that DONT need a special tool.
Nice style bro

The guy who said, "this was painfully hard to watch for such few steps"...🤣.... I am a "steps/tutorial-type" of person... details plzzz...however, after I got to the two-minute mark, I skipped ahead; 4:50/6:08 tells/shows u everything u need to know.. very thorough too👍 My two cents re/what I just now finished doing...after removing the old brush head i toss it (vs. using it to clean). I was horrified after l had looked down the Barrel & saw build-up, including at bottom of old brush (and I regularly change out the heads!) I soaked it upside down in a glass mixture of dish dawn soap & Distilled White Vinegar for a good 30 min. & let it completely dry b4 attaching new brushhead.. 😁
Thank you so very much for this
