It's probably lost in mail too. You don't need a police report. I know someone who followed same process without police report.

Hello everyone, I am in a weird situation. I am in canada under study permit. However, my passport had all my names "ABC XYZ" in given name section. I recently bifurcated my name and got the new passport with separate name and family name. Now, I am confused about how to do changes in the study permit. The website gives very vague information. Do I need to apply for new one/ do I need to amend on current one/ will i be able to make any changes until it expires? Any leads would be appreciated.

However, my name is not mentioned on my birth certificate, just the date of birth, place of birth, parents' name and authority signature who approved it. I want to ask whether I should send it as it is or if it would be better if I send a short letter from my side and mention an explanation for not writing my name on the certificate by the authorities as per India's custom. The school had received the PGWP document and forwarded it to my current address! As I called IRCC last week i confirmed that they hadn’t received anything back! There was no tracking number therefore there was no other way to track the document was sent on mail ! So I applied for a replacement of PGWP and paid the fee last Saturday after waiting for a month! So is there anyone from the group in this same situation ? And I still have my approval letter including $30 replacement fee receipt! As I went to the border station today and asked them if there are any possibilities to get the replacement there instead one of the agents told me not to travel out of Canada till i get the replacement! He basically said I can’t travel out of Canada ! But looks like border agents have different replies ! When I was on my implied status before PGWP issued in i was allowed a reentry ! Plus when I left Canada to States around September i was readmitted after showing the letter that they approved the PGWP status ! Any advice at this point? I hope to travel down to the States on 23rd on US thanksgiving without worrying about being delayed at the border crossing ? I am a Korean citizen by the way so I am the part of visa exempt country to Canada & USA

Always have the original copies. Future applications will require you of digital copies of original docs. If they find out that your document is a scanned copy of a copy, they may use it as ground for refusal.

Hello, you just wait. Normal processing time is 4 weeks from the time IRCC received your application. If it's past 4 weeks, you can submit a web form.

hey there! i am in a huhe prblem rn. so basically on 27 august i landed in canada on that day i lost my stidy permit at the airport after recieving it so next day i went to airport at lost and found bt they didn’t recieved my study permit so i sent a letter to ircc about this a for reissue of study permit bt after 2 days airport sent me an email that say they just got my document i can pick that . and after picking i took my sin nmbr nd gic account happily. bt now after 1.5 month i judt recieved my second study permit in which my application number and study permit number is diffrent from the first one and, also on ircc login i cannot see they are showing my study permit is invalid. i am very worried about it. the uci number in both is same bt the application nd others number are changed

You won't be able to stop it at this point. But it's not a big deal, you will just end up with 2 copies of your PGWP

You can track from the carrier who sent your docs. They will also send you confirmation that they have received your docs but I noticed there was a delay

I have a question, I sent my application for getting a new work permit(as I lost my old one). all the documents were sent using CP and It was delivered after 2 days, I even have a sign of the receiver but it's around 20 days total (not business days) and I have not received any confirmation email from them(ICCRC) that, my document received or anything.

Hello, could be just backlog. Just give it a couple more weeks, then you can try filing a web form to follow up.

did you change your address also at the web form IRCC or in cic.gc.ca before you proceed on these? because we have the same situation but I confuse if I still change my address on it or this form IMM5009 will work to deliver my new copy to the mailing address I will fill out in this form? Please response thank you

If a decision hasn't been made to your application, you can still submit a webform. I mentioned this somewhere in the vid.
