My Xerox 5225 machine initially had 0% cartridge replacement. For that I changed the chip of the cartridge but reinsert an improperly seated consumables with cartridge error status. And my drums and toner are running on another machine. But why isn't my machine running ? Please help me

My R2 drum is covered in blue ink powder and there is a wide blue band on the sheets that come out of the printer. Is this only a matter of changing the drum?

It really sounds like you need to replace that drum. Make sure to get the part number from the existing drum and order the exact same part number.

how do you disble color printing completely . where you dont have to replace only black ink every time ?

As far as I know this can’t be done. Even if you only make b/w copies the machine will likely use a tiny amount of color ink.

The printer at my workplace doesn't show a model number, but it just says Drum Cartridge (R) error. There's like seven different R's .

blazeario it is a Xerox brand machine? If so, the model number should be on the front. If it isn’t, it should be in the owner’s manual. I’m afraid we need the model number to go much further.

whats the difference between R1,R2,R3,R4? Can you use the same drum for all 4 of these?

Subli Printate out of curiosity, Why do you want to change the developer? It generally cycles through the machine from the toner cartridges these days. We used to change developer years ago on older models but this isn’t nearly as common now. Changing the developer on a 7500dn would be very similar to changing it on a work centre 7545. I’ll link a video (not from me) in the next comment.

Udaan Work “Ji door”? With any door, make sure everything is pushed in all the way (paper trays, etc) and all the levers are up before you close the door.
