For the battery, search for "DC 3.7V 600mAh 602535 battery Replacement". This is essentially the same as the original. I would suggest only the 3 wire ones which has a thermistor (to measure temperature). With a low power mouse as this, it shouldn't be necessary. Get a battery with "mAh" 500 or greater. That just is how much energy is in the battery. The bigger the better (but be careful of physical dimension). 3.7V is critically important.

Little observation: Original battery (M/N:AHB572535PJT). I am pretty sure that 5.7 25 35 are the dimensions. Replacement ("CL103040"). 10 30 40 are the dimensions once again. Therefore, search for those two 6-symbol codes, and you aree good to go.

I've never used the original master, but from what i can see online, the internals are basically the same, so I would guess the connector is the same

Hi! What happened to yours to know that the battery was damaged? Mine doesn’t always work, but if I hit it a little bit, it turn's it on. I already removed all the components and everything seems to be fine with the onoff button, i'm in doubt if it's the battery. thanks!

the mouse was not charging, so i assumed the battery wen bad, but in hindsight, the battery was completely fine, it was the charging IC, which i did another video on how to "fix" it (added a charging IC into the mouse) if your mouse work after hitting, i doubt it's the battery, batteries are not mechanical, so hitting it won't do anything. most likely a lose/bad connection somewhere. best reach out to logitech customer service, they sometimes replace products free of charge.

Is it still holding a charge? Mine dies after 1 day of use after charging, this is after replacing the battery 2 times. Either the charging circuit is not doing it's job correctly or the mouse operations are in overtime mode.

double check to make sure the capacity of the new battery. If you're sure it's bigger than the original, then are you getting them from the same source? it's possible that the fault is not the battery but with the circuitry of the board, you can try contacting logitech customer support, they might replace it for you.

not really, the scrw holes for the motherboard are in different places, not to mention the button placements, it simply wouldn't work properly even if it get it fitted.

Of course you could, looking at terdown videos/photos, the layout of the 3 is different, but fundamentally the same connector and battery wise. FYI the 3's battery life is already a lot better compared to the 2s.

would it not be a problem to directly tape the battery on the circuit board without the tray?

there's no damage, but quality of the battery matters the cheap battery I got didn't last 2 years, after a year it was barely holding charge, and at 2 years it was always plugged in

what about nokia battery that has 3.7 Volt. or sony ericsoon battery?

Hi guys, I'm about to buy a new mouse, the choise is between m650 and mx master 3s. But I don't see huge benefits in 3s, from my point of view it's downgrade, why it such heavy mouse (140g) with battery life is 2 monthes, but in cheaper ones it lasts around 2 years from one AA battery (around 10x longer, it's huge difference), and weight is less... In 3s reduntant weight is not in battery for sure. And polling rate is the same, so it's not like mouse uses more energy for better polling rate... What do you think about this?

It would almost certainly be heavier, unfortunately. It''s already a very heavy mouse.

If the mouse falls on the ground the battery can chip off some smd elements now.

(mAh)*(V)/1000 = (Wh) The original is rated at 2.0 Wh While the new battery is 3.7v 1200mAh (1200*3.7)/1000 = 4.44Wh So no, the new battery is stronger, I think you're confusing Watt-Hour(Wh) with Amp-Hour(Ah)

I bought this battery from amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071CJM52Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It worked, but it is bigger than his, and the plug isn't quite the same size. I pulled the pins out of the plug, widened them with a needle and stuck them on the pins manually, then hotglued everythign in place. Seems to be working fine, but was a little more work than I set out for. My mouse is noticeably heavier, but for my needs I wanted the battery life.

For those tat are asking about where to buy the battery: You just have to be careful of a few things: 1. Voltage is correct, there can be a +-5% difference 2. Battery have 3 wires, the third wire is some kind sensor. Will work without it, but better if you have it. 3. Dimensions: 9.5 x 30 x 40 mm, these are the new dimensions of my new battery, and it's just right, if the width and length is slightly smaller, it can probably be thicker. 4. The plug size doesn't really matter, since you can reuse the one from your original battery, or measure that before you buy.
