Replace the S3 Boa on a Specialized S-Works Torch road shoe with Tongue Loops

Replace the S3 Boa on a Specialized S-Works Torch road shoe with Tongue Loops. Many boa fitted cycling shoes don’t have any tongue loops that the boa wires need to pass through, which makes boa replacement easy. But on the Specialized S-Works Torch road shoe, there are tongue loops.
It is also very easy to install a new boa on this shoe. Just flip the S3 dial over, cut the knotted end of the boa wire that retains the wire in the boa, pull free, pass through the tongue loops, and refasten. Your shoe is back to normal.

I replaced mine, but BOA sends you a specific dial that's untied, you have to first contact customer support and tell them that you have the Torch.

yes, it definitely depends on the model of boa, as there are so many different kinds. For some boa dials, they are not tied like this model. To do this, you do need to have a boa that allows for it.
