Reparations for Black Americans Becoming More Widespread

Reparations have continued to make headlines across the country.
In Congress, House Bill H.R. 40 would create a commission to look at the impact of slavery from 1619 to today. The state of California has created a task force that would study reparations for its Black population. In Evanston, Illinois, lawmakers approved the “Restorative Housing Reparations Program,” as they offered qualified Black residents $25,000 for repairs or down payment on a house.
Dr. William Darity Jr., co-author of the book “From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century,” joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to talk about the components surrounding reparations.
All this and more on “Black News Tonight.”

It's always funny when folks rep being carribean or African, demonstrating that they KNOW they're not African American Descendants of Slavery, yet when it comes time to talk reparations suddenly they act like it's so hard to tell who descends from US slavery and who doesn't. Nah bruh bruh....keep that same energy!!!

NEW BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT: On July 27th, 2021, I loaded my book, Uncle Tom's Uncle: The Case for Reparations and Why I Don't Want Them, to two Internet sites: Academia.edu and Archive.org. The book is 416 pages in length, and that includes front and back matter. ACADEMIA.EDU (Main Page. Links within book are live): www.academia.edu/50365095/Uncle_Toms_Uncle_The_Case_for_Reparations_and_why_I_dont_want_them ACADEMIA.EDU (Comments/Discussion section): www.academia.edu/s/2b9f799f0b Please note that, on the Comments/Discussion page the links within the book are not live. To use the live links within the book, you have to download the .pdf file (See near the top of the Comments/Discussion page, towards the right). Or, as I said above, you can go to the Main Page and read the book there, and the links will be live. ARCHIVE.ORG ia801508.us.archive.org/15/items/uncle-toms-uncle/Uncle%20Tom%27s%20Uncle.pdf At Archive.org the .pdf file is the only file available, and all of the links within the book are live. Keep in mind that the front-matter and chapter headings on the Contents pages are clickable links, so you can go directly to a chapter by clicking that chapter's name on the Contents page. Unlike Academia.edu, Archives.org, that I could see, does not have a Comments/Discussion section. I created it as an e-book to offer the convenience of using the clickable links within the book that go to Internet textual and video sources. I placed the book at both places--Archives.org and Academia.edu--because the WEAK practice of cancel culture threatens to block information that the adherents of the religion of Woke-i-anity do not want people to have access to. Our people DO NOT need information kept from us. Hopefully, neither site will become "Woke," and you'll have the book there to read for free. I am not certain whether I will have it published and printed as a paperback. Money, for me, is not necessarily an issue, since, during my life, I created MY OWN "Reparations," and successfully retired. More important to me is YOU. Read the book, particularly Part II of the Book, and you will see precisely how you can, and MUST, create YOUR OWN "Reparations," rather than waiting around for the jive-assed Democrats to TRICK you (again) into believing that they LOVE YOU. Dangling H.R.40 in front of you is yet another familiar tactic of the Democratic Party to GET YOUR VOTES, so they can stay in power, that's all. Watch the movie, Bullworth. It'll tell you what's up. Peace, Ron

African Americans should be asking west africa for reparations, they sold them into slavery in the first place for riches and wealth. I noticed a lot of black people are real quiet about that part of history, here that's all they talk about is history this history that. Oh but not one mention at all about west africans involvement in the Atlantic slave trade.

Equality is a word that white Americans do not like. It is kin to Affirmative Action and Quotas, the word quota was such a bad word to whites, I think some tried to lose it, we never hear that word anymore. Reparations (the word)have been revived skillfully because it is ingrained into America's history. To (deny)reparations based on polling of pedestrian whites reminds me of the days of separate drinking fountains and reserved seats on the back of the bus, just simply petty. All of the gaps that are responsible for differentiating equality or the lack of it are usually related to who whites think our country and wealth rightfully belongs to. They are afraid, very afraid and the game's rules keep changing. This is why sharecropping didn't work, it made white folks feel like slaves working equally alongside their black countrymen and women.
