Had no idea fixing the piezo was an option! Glad to know that! Love my Windmaster.

It's a great stove!
The first screw you took out and removed you can leave out because it doesn’t wobble at all. I filed off literally 1 mm off of the top part and reinserted. Now the stove fits inside my Toaks 550 or 650 sideways with the canister inside. On the 650 the lid won’t close by a few mm’s but is fine inside either the orange sack or with a strap to hold on. Much better to store all together and not separately. One little thing is a huge upgrade.

Yeah, bummed I didn't get to go on that!
The Piezo igniter on my my 3+ year old Soto Windmaster has worked, first time, every time. My back up is my FireSteel Ferro Rod/Striker that I normally use for a spark to light a campfire. Works first time, every time. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada

I have a lighter in my bag, but I just wanted the ignitor to work the way it always had. And yes, it's first time, every time!

@@SpiguyverBackpacking1Piezo ignitors, overall, have a troublesome past that most people are aware of.
nice.

Thanks
If you invert the stove in one hand and screw the canister on from the top with other hand, will keep it from crossthreading.

Nice tip. I've never had one cross thread, but if that works, cool deal!
Hah perfect. Mine still clicks but stopped working after a while. I might take a closer inspection before buying the kit. There might be some salt water corrosion from taking it to the beach. Thanks for the guide.

Happy to help! Laughed when I saw your comment, since I already had this one ready to go. And if checking the stove doesn't fix it, you know you can replace it!

@@SpiguyverBackpacking1 Well after taking a look, it works.. sometimes. Then stops altogether. I think there's some issue where it sparks up top. I tried spraying some contact cleaner to clean it up but didn't help much. I tried taking off the top part too but it's pretty much sealed tight. Feels like it might bend it if I force it out. I'll just live with it for now by tossing an extra bic lighter in the food bag 😅
Can you do a video on how to find the Windmaster that I bought and is lost in all my gear? lol

Sure, it'll start with dumping everything you own onto the floor in the middle of the living room.
Piezoelectric tech is so wierd, smack 2 rocks together and create electricity whattt? They shouid bring back the flint wheel striker like a zippo. Simple

You could always just carry the top wheel and flint of a normal lighter too, that creates a spark without needing the flame.

@@SpiguyverBackpacking1 of course. but im talking somthing integrated like these cheap piezo things. Maybe like the striker on a carbide lamp.
