I had a similar problem with extra staples going from front to back cover. I watched this video and ordered a pair of snips. They ended up being to sharp and it looked like I might damage the paper with them. I switched to toenail clippers which worked even better. I would love to see more videos like this.

I have tape on golden age Captain America from 1957.Would it damage the book to have it removed. Have Captain America #77 with additional staples but c g c should I crack case and have someone remove them.

We would need to see the book in person to evaluate it before tape is removed. Are you local?

Wow....i collect the ASM Omnibuses ..their would be no way to afford these silver age issues! Surprised he didnt wear gloves...i put on gloves whenever i read my books.

I would not to do anything to a valuable book like that you could ruin 😒 the value of it .
