We didn't just sit there and watch... We sent positive vibes back to the past for when you actually started the repair lol
These videos are far easier to watch now, more digestible. I'll be honest I used to see the videos at 4 odd hours long and skip them because they were too long for one sitting. loving the content now.

Thanks mate. Yeah the 4hr ones were replays from live streams bit dedicated videos I try to make around 15-30 mins usually
I've learned bucket loads! Thanks so much for posting!
I like the fact you gave us temperatures for your equipment as you used them. I know sometimes its about personal preference but it really helps me as I tackle different jobs as a newby to surface mounts. I used to really struggle on making good solder joints on through hole for years until I realised I was too scared to crank the heat up. Would be great if you could work in to each of you vid's a quick note of what temps you are running different processes at from Iron to hot air. Cheers and subscribed.
Hi Phil your videos are always honest, like everything in life if one is doing any kind of repairs on a customer's items one needs to be very thorough when it comes to diagnostics and repairs.
Thanks again for your effort
Amazing job! Really enjoy it!!
Great job as always. Love the videos
You’re a goat dude. Some dude gave me a ps5 to fix and it’s horrendous. Thanks for the tips and tricks!

good job mate.
Good content, I found your channel from looking for a solution to a Switch BSOD I got from Ebay (was hoping it would be something simple) and found that information pretty interesting. I also learned that my eyesight is a lot worse than I thought. Felt like Sherlock Holmes holding a big magnifier.
Great job good video
dang, you make it look easy
I've watched you fix multiple ports on multiple different systems. My question is what are people doing to their machines to damage these ports? I've never had a damaged port on anything I've ever owned (even iPhones). Maybe people in England likes to play rugby with their ports?

Sorry can't answer you right now playing catch with my ps5....:) being serious for a moment i have never killed any device i have ever owned, i treat my stuff with respect because i worked hard to pay for it!.
@mbob4337

I've never broken my ports either like these. But my guess, is that these are happening. Because these people refuse to pull the console out of a cramped area. So they feel the wire. Than jam it in the wrong way multiple times. Eventually breaks.
@TheCod3r

It's mainly the fact people think they're indestructible and constantly moving them from room to room. That and transporting them with cables plugged in is a recipe for disaster

I've always wondered about that to I had my ps4 for 6 years and I took it to many hotels i work in the US that ps4 seen atleast 150 hotels in 5 years and never had a hdmi problem . my guess is spoiled kids that abuse things I would be surprised if someone spent hard earned cash on something then abused it 🤔 no I would not be surprised I just know I take care of my stuff and I believe that makes a difference
@TheKrayusKorianis

@@lee__1707 That's the real problem. Kids and certain Adults didn't pay for it, therefore they abuse it. I don't be rough with ANYTHING I myself have bought, nor what anyone has ever given me.

Another great video, Phil. Watching and learning techniques from the likes of yourself, Vince, Northridge, etc I've learned absolutely loads. Your channel has something the others are completely lacking though. Being a guy who was born and brought up in Wednesbury but moved up to the Yorkshire coast, it's nice to hear a bostin accent from back home. Black Country ay we. 😂😂

Lol. Anyone else find themselves rolling their head, stecthing, peeking like your gonna get a better angle?
How did the other ‘repair shop’ expect the console to work with half the pins not being soldered? It’s beyond me how these places make a living.

@@TheCod3r I repair phones, tablets etc. Even Nintendo switch it seems. I always repair to a standard which I would want my own tech repaired to. I have never taken anything to a repair shop ever because I don't think the job would be good enough. I taught myself way back when the first Nokias came out. If it doesn't work perfectly after repair it's not leaving the shop.
@TheCod3r

@@CiderPang27 I fully agree mate. I try to work to a standard I'd be satisfied with too. I try to lead by example and that way the people learning from me will hopefully pick up on my own standards and set the bar high

Bro you should make one of a kind videos like big creators You should make a clean setup and do something that any other creator does not do like some words for example tronics fix 'perfect amount of thermal paste ' this will help your channel a lot You make very useful content you should not be underrated
did you replace the hdmi capacitor? i didnt see it

Two things , a heater for your shed and another TV just for your connection with systems.

The cod3r I need your help to fix my ps5 someone ruined the pins under my hdmi
I’m quite confused on this particular repair because looking under microscope the little chip behind the HDMI port was missing how did you get signal without having to replace that chip
@TheCod3r
2 жыл бұрын
Could you tag the timestamp you're referring to? I'll try and figure out what it is but some boards will have placeholders for components which aren't ever populated. Sometimes pre planning for future changes
hi am fixed hdm port end microscen not signal.
the first one I could watch for a long time. All been to long lately .
I would of used tape to stop the components blowing away using the air gun.but I alway make shore I have a clean tip on my soldering iron. As I do work on amateur radio stuff.not the surface mounted component you do. Don’t think my eyes could cope with that
@TheCod3r
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah some people do but to be honest if you set your hot air up properly it shouldn't blow anything away. Around 40% air flow is usually fine 🙂
Out of interest what brand flux do you use

You didn't put no Conformal Coating on the HDMI port.

It's only really needed to protect against shorts but if there's only one jumper it isn't needed in my opinion
