By charge connector you mean the actual battery, the charging port on your iPhone or the connector on your logic board.

Colin for testing battery just put both end on the battery pin. for charging ic put black on shield and red on the battery connect of pcb

Download refox. No dongle needed. You will get schematic diagram, bitmap etc for all models

How about my iphone 6+ issue.. 1. Mute is not working properly the switch on the side is not working and while using the mute goes on and off everytime. 2. The power button stops working like when i press it nothing happen, no sleep no turn off but while im using turn off display pops up like the mute problem. Lastly, its not charging... when i plug the charger "accy not compatible" pops up so i have to turn off the phone to make it charging even w/o charging indicator on the display. Now my phone is dead and when i brought it to the repair shop w/o opening the phone they said its an Ic chip problem. So, what do you think? Please i need honest opinion. Thanks!

What is the difference between the U2 Tristar IC and the power management IC? I'm not sure which one to replace.

Benjamin Hong Tristar handles USB negotiations. So it detects and authorizes lighting cable accessories. Tigris, the chip beside it, it's the charging chip. Cables plugged in. Tristar authenticates it as a "charger". It then signals Tigris to begin charging the battery.

Whats the name of the paste that REWA used to keep the replacement IC in place on the board while blowing. Doing the repair without that paste is hard because the heat gun blows the IC off the board almost straight away :(

They dont use paste. You should not use a heatgun, but an hot air station, since a heatgun blows to much air.

I have an iPhone 6 that was not charging after water damage. Phone could boot with a good battery but could not charge. I tried to replace u2 ic and rehot u1401 ic and now phone is completely dead, iTunes does not recognize it. I try to measure the volts of the capacitors near this chips and no volts, no sigh of life!! What i did wrong? Can you fix this if i send you the phone? What's the possibility to repair this? THIS IS SILLY BUT IT WORKS My iPhone 6s Plus wouldn't charge and it was completely dead. I tried different a charger, different cord, plugged it into 2 different USB ports, and tried the adapter into 2 different wall sockets. Nothing worked. I know this sounds silly, but try this 1st before anything else...simply put the part of the changer cord that plugs into your iPhone into your mouth or lick it on both sides, plug it back into your iPhone. It should start charging again. Worked for me like a charm. I had a friend who told me to try this. Talk about saving money & time! Hope it works for you.

Ok so my iPhone 6plus wont turn on at all. I checked the voltage through the FPC connector like you did here and it reads 3.5. This means that the logic board can charge correct? If so, why isn't my phone powering up? I've tried different batteries to see if the battery was the issue but I get the same problem. Besides my batteries voltage are 3.0-3.5 so that isn't the problem.

Try to check the boot current to see if it is normal, then restore the phone and check if there is error code. There are many reasons may cause the malfunction that the phone can't power up. More information is required to confirm the fault.

It 's a dongle with PCB files, but we just have Chinese version.

You mean the battery or the motherboard? If it the connector on the battery, it would be battery self-protection. If it is the battery connector on the motherboard, it would be something wrong with your charging circuit.

Thanks for your reply. I bought a new dock connector and replaced the faulty one, and it seemed to fix the issue. I meant the the connector at the motherboard.

I would start by plugging it into a computer with iTunes to see if the phone is detected. If it is, the phone may simply be in DFU mode. Restore then retest. Still not working? I would change TriStar. It's such a common point of failure, I simply replace it as a troubleshooting measure. Then retest. Still not charging, inspect and replece Tigris. Then retest. Still not charging? Check your gas guage lines. They extremely unlikely for a no power repair. Because,even with those lines damaged, the phone will still power on, although the battery percentage will never change. If none of those solve the problem,then you need to start the more advanced troubleshooting, which is check the data lines.

@@hatemboussba4180 The location of the heat can be telling. Is it front or back? Top or bottom? Of the heat is at or near the chip that was changed , it is more likely the chip's orientation is not correct (check the dot on the chip versus the orientation on the schematic), or the chip is not seated correctly so the balls may be bridged together, or components in the surrounding area have been moved. I'd start near the replaced chip then spread out.
