Lol go buy them???? You can get kits for less than $10 that have all of this. Been fixing phones for a few years now and a lot of the time I buy parts and the company just throws the tools in with the parts. Prolly have all these tools x30 laying around my house by now lol

Thank you! I had my phone fixed by a shop a few months ago. I dropped my phone and then all of sudden my phone didn’t want to charge anymore. Turns out the shop never put the metal cover for the battery and the charging port and the connector got loose!

@Esha Shah I used my blower on the charging port and it worked. I guess it’s just a dust issue for me but will definitely try hair clip as you said if it relapse.

Dude you saved me! Thanks so much. I have an iphone6s with a charging port that sometimes doesn't work. I tried everything but then tried this. Luckily I had an old repair kit from when I replaced a screen on an iPhone 6 that got me in the phone. I removed the charging connector and waited 5 seconds, plugged it in and it worked. I put it all back together and it is working as normal. Thanks so much!!!

Thank you! After opening up and disconnecting I plugged it in and see the battery logo flash. That's the first sign of life I've seen from that phone in 2 months!

Holding the home button down with the power button while plugging it in, worked like charm for me.

Thank you very much. I got it to work. This same thing happened to me on another I phone 6 and the Apple tech told me the phone was warped and the solder cracked. It took him less that a minute to tell me this. When I notice the phone was dead and won't turn on, I checked to see if it was warped. There was slight movement from corner to corner. Don't know how this happen, since I had it in a hard plastic case. Now I feel they ripped me off two years ago.

OMFG!!! It actually works dude i tried to do it once but i didnt click cause i have been doing this for ages and when i do the method of wait for a bit like 10 secs and put it on until like it clicks dude it works thank you so much!!! thumbs up

I did what you told me and YOUR INSTRUCTIONS worked. My phone ☎️ is working again. HOWEVER IT IS TAKING ME ALONG TIME TO PUT THESE LITTLE SCREW BACK. The screws are sticking to the tool used to take it out. Maybe you could give some tips or advice on how to put the screws back.

NEVER use PLASTIC gloves when repairing electronics, unless they are Anti-Static. They can destroy your phone. It may not show immediately but next time when your phone gets statick shock, it may be dead. I am Electronic Maintenace Engineer and I use cotton gloves, if needed but usually I don't use gloves at all.

You can use them if you ground yourself with a grounding wristband, the finger oil can do just as much damage to your electronics.

if your battery is completely dead, take the battery out, get a old charging cord. cut the cord and cut to expose the red and black wires. connect the red wire to + and and black wire to - on your battery. and charge it that way
