I’ve been doing this stuff for 40 years, the first 20 I had a crew of 12 guys, you learn a lot when watching and working with a good team.

Howdy Friend, i thought I might as well get dirty as all this simple stuff was at ground level anyway.😉

Love the video as always. That Cement All stuff is super strong, also the other thing about it is it has way better adhesion to the old concrete than other mixes or products. The old concrete will break and deteriorate before your patch ever does! Also, really smart on preaching how important the prep is, like the nice pressure washing you did. No product will ever work without that level of prep and so few people realize that.

Kirk that cement all is 9000 psi after 28 days. It's rediculously strong. They also claim that the hydraulic cements like rapid set actually form hooks that bite into existing concrete. Amazing stuff

Compressive strength isn't problem in concrete either it's tensile strength what should be good and even that rapid set has a much lower tensile strength. Because if there is moisture in concrete or in that patch and it gets frozen ice that forms tries to push everything apart and then it's all about tensile strength.

She's close to remembering, Concrete is portland cement mixed with rocks and Stucco is Portland cement mixed with..... Sand. I say this after she asks me, what a SME? I finally remember as this game has been going on for awhile. Anyone know what an SME is?💃🏻

Howdy Pork Chops Dude, different states call what we do different things. For example, type in Cement companies or services in my area, perhaps you may get a better response, depending on the state you are in. As Stucco, Exterior plastering, and Cement plastering all have their own states or countries where they call or title what they do differently. It does get a bit confusing. Hell, I have a hard time titling our videos for the same reason. Never ever give up.💃

Nicely done repair. 👍 That home owner must be blind or oblivious since he never noticed his neighbors absolutely horrendous stucco repair at eye level. 🤣 If the home owner didn't do a DYI they must have hired Stevie Wonder.

Love cementall, awesome product. I've put a layer of cementall over some ugly stepping stones. Painted with acrylic pool deck paint, solid, no cracks. It will have to be painted every year.

Cement can be tricky sometimes. It must be hydrated so not to dry too fast. It will get hot and crack if not hit with water until cool to touch.

Hey Kirk, I have concrete ceiling in the basement. With through cracks causing leaks from ground surface to the basement . What is a good way to seal the cracks from the bottom and top and finish the concrete .

Good morning, are you referring to a quality caulking for the cracks? If so I'd recommend sikaflex 1A as it's an adhesive sealant. It should only be applied to a surface clean enough to eat off, or it won't adhere. Nothing adheres to. dirty or. dusty surfaces, except spider webs. To refinish concrete, Id recomend Poly-Bond, but it's a cementitious adhesive cement only found at Plastering yards. Plusoly-Bond involves slacking which most may not understand how to use. Thus for a more user friendly concrete finish can be found at HD and Lowes stores.

The rubber floats compact the stucco, the sponge floats bring out the sand which make dashing much easier

Yes, however Cement all, hardens in about ten minutes and is harder than concrete.🕵🏼

Howdy we always paint or brush it on a super clean surface. Sika, does make admixture that is added to grout, so it is a bit confusing. With stucco always apply a bonding agent to its surface.👨🏻‍🔬

@@dog_biter Evening Biter-Dude, they are snow boots made by Columbia. I have been buying boots for 40 years. None have come close to the comfort and quality. Our boots because of the lye in stucco only last about 3 months before the Lye burns the threads and outter skins. These damn boots are so good I bought all three of my sons a pair and my brother Luuuuuu.

Kirk, do you know anyone in Iowa who would do residential stucco? Would you suggest I do it myself? Because no one in Iowa has a stucco home, it's hard to find a contractor. I'm also worried that if I do it, I could do it incorrectly, or cause a future home insurance claim issue. Should I call a drywall guy? What do you suggest? Thank you!

This search may also bring up “yelp” Theirs is a paid subscription, so their reviews may be more biased than Google's; however, you can scroll and read through the Yelp reviews. Hopefully, with the help of both reviews apps, you will find the best fit for your needs.
