Repacking Your Journal Kit
Join John Muir Laws for a practical demonstration in rebalancing your nature journaling toolkit. Do you periodically check your kit to make sure you're using everything inside of it? Do you switch out materials you don't use often and try new ones? Watch how John Muir Laws does it as he prepares for his trip to Kenya. (Session from June 2022)

Sitting through this video is such a delight! So cool to see everyone's kits.
Perfect timing. Back to school is a good time for mommy to re organize too and boost the art materials collection w back 2 school deals!
I love those erasers!!! And I really love all of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing all of your wonder knowledge with us. 😁👍🏻🌲
Cool trick with the Kuretake flat water brush! ❤👏👍🤝 Thank you!
I love how you mime crawling through the bushes like a squirrel 😄 Although I agree, I always have a backpack and a small crossbody bag for my most immediate materials, whether I'm doing graphite, charcoal, or even watercolours. I might have more in my backpack (including larger sketchbooks or pads of paper) but I can get away with what's in my crossbody bag and my sketchbook, and I usually do. Thank you for sharing👍
Great video. Very helpful.
Thank you
Have you done any videos with flipthroughs of your nature journals? I would love to watch a video of you showing us your journaling pages.

A couple of videos with flipthroughs will be coming soon!
👏👏👏👏👏👏
I loved this! My kit was uncomfortablly heavy, on a trip last week. It encouraged me to edit my kit. I have a question, what pen is a Mark Simmon pen?

I didn't get the name of the green hue Kate was talking about. Can someone help me out?

I think it was Cascade Green
What is that small rectangular tool I see in the bottom left hand corner at 27:00?

I think it's a slide with one of those green gel light filters theater techies use. Jack uses it as a value viewer - when he holds it up and looks through it at a landscape, he can see just the lights and darks of the landscape without getting distracted by color.
