Connection to place, a bunch of us went camping and we had and "Easter Egg" hunt for the kids. They collected plastic shotgun shells from all over the area, 100's and 100's for a week, what a difference we made to the area we loved. Thank you for the lovely drawing tips and photos.

OBS is soo powerful! any JavaScript code for a webpage you can also run within OBS. I had a very similar setup when I streaming VR. I had setup a large green screen and had to position My camera to overlay my hands in the correct Zoom and Pan so my VR hands aligned with my real hands.

I’m a highly sensitive person. And think that maybe it might be included in neurodivergence. Are there other things? You all represent 3 forms. Just curious.

The design ideas are great, to box, highlight, label, describe, etc... I tend to add more location story, and not as much plant info or questions. So many new ideas!! thank you.

Fascinating! Making the most of your trip. Do you want to go back? Do you feel you missed out on a lot? Wonderful tortoise sketches, and the blue feet on the boobies. The crack was intriguing, how did it form would be my main thought. I was not clear, did you swim down there? Thank you for sharing. I am new to nature journaling, you have such wonderful tips.

Thank you so much! I've been drawing for a long time but I want to finally dip my toes into plants, and nature in general, and drawing what's around me rather than just what's in my imagination. This was really helpful!

Thanks for posting this video. Using negative spaces and spacers was a game-changer for me. It's amazing to me how Jack makes something that looks so complex much easier to sketch. As usual, my favorite part of the video was the explanation of the skeleton.

Thanks for posting this video. I almost didn't watch, but I'm glad I did. I got some great ideas for improving meta data on my pages as well as other ideas of things to capture. I think the most important thing that came out of this video, for me, was the notion of focusing on a more holistic approach to my observations and recordings. For example, it never occurred to me to link temperature to the amount of insect activity. Great video, and thanks again.

Incredibly grateful for this program. I could relate with a lot of what was said. It brought me to tears, but yet your resolve and caring community is such a wellspring of hope, peace and forgiveness. I hope to be able to catch more of your videos. This truly was profound, cathartic, and life-giving. Beyond grateful. 💜🦋

This video is so wonderful! I'm so thankful you all spoke. I didnt realize I had adhd until I was in my 30s after researching why I was struggling so much. The older I got, the harder it was to cope. I wish I had someone who was able to help me as a child. Even now I feel so alone because I am not surrounded by others who understand my struggles... but The moment I realized I had adhd I remember just bawling because I realized I wasnt really slow and stupid. All of a sudden my struggles made sense. My daughter is on the spectrum and most likely has adhd also. I really loved how you all described why a proper labels are important. I would get kick back from parents who would insist its wrong to label and refused to get their kids diagnosed even though they suspected they were on the spectrum. I strongly disagree with that because if your not diagnosed... you cant get the help you need! Also, the moment I realized what my "label" was, was the moment I felt free and the burden lifted. It was the moment I was able to search for strategies to help me. I finally had scientific reasons for why I was struggling so hard with life. I would much rather be labled as having adhd than being labeled slow or stupid.

I am grateful beyond measure that you all have created this gathering; and broken hearted that I didn’t know about it in time to be there for the live chat. I wish upon a star that you might consider creating another event like this - I feel so alone, yet I can hear how many of the participants here have also felt this way. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT ☮️

This has been both beautiful and hard to watch. I'm not alone and I'm wonderful -I know that now. I'm grateful for having survived my childhood and adolescence in spite of all the adults in my life thinking I was retarded, not worthy of help. I'm 58 now. An artist, birder, teacher, mother, wife, Grandma, a dancer. The world (and especially Mexico) wasn't ready for people like me, especially girls. I masked my way to adulthood and found my strength, my worth, my myself. I wish no girl or boy has to endure what many of my generation had to. Bless you all for this.

How cool. I recently joined a one year-class at a wilderness school here in Germany and brought some NJ experience with me. And all of a sudden it all fell into place and both activities just complement each other in such a powerful way for me. And on top, I just watched a recorded online class from Wildniswissen hosted by Verena and now it's full circle somehow seeing her talking to you, John. Good things like company, I guess :)

I, too, first discovered nature journaling through one of CWL’s books. The one that I have is a beautiful and colorful guide with lots of her journal pages shown for examples. It’s Keeping a Nature Journal, second edition. Love it! I also have been inspired by all that Jack does, and gives, and is for this community.

During our trip to Ireland it was very comforting and beautiful. We met people from around the world, you are so right giving your full attention to someone is so important. We met someone from Ukraine,; he was fleeing the war with his family. He looked frightened and unsure about the future. But he was embraced by people who didn't know him. We found ourselves feeling much love and respect for his courage. We wished him peace.
