Her ideas are not radical or extreme is just that we have drifted so far from being fair and just to the average person in favor of the rich that when we settle for incremental gains it feels like we gained 10% of "garbage" or minus -100 to -90. Ask yourself what middle class Americans could have done with the past 20 years of $ Trillions of dollars in tax cuts to the rich that have not created jobs. Trump certainly has had no training in diplomacy or managing a massive government. Perhaps it should be a prerequisite that a person needs a solid grounding in the law or political science before they can throw their hats in the ring at election time. Trump leads us to believe that his formal education was at the school of hard knocks and that qualifies him for the top job. I don't believe so. No, I believe that the prerequisite is that the person must be of good character and be sincere in their desire to follow through on their policies.

I'd like to sit down, have some ice cream and listen to her. She Rocks.

She's so refreshing. And her rhetoric doesn't feel preachy or forced, because she explains herself well, and her resources are well-informed and accurate. Her ire is pointed, and it is warranted and justified, like when she got sworn at by a senior member of Congress. She knows what she's talking about, and she chooses her words very carefully, but not in ways that is meant to obfuscate or disguise the truth or the facts. Reading the thread she posted after she won reelection, she absolutely deserves a seat at the table in the Democratic Party. She knows all about effective messaging, about canvassing in her district, how to engage voters in person AND online, and how they can cut through and around the media bubbles that encompass those who would normally be at odds with progressive ideas simply because they're coming out of the mouth of a young "Democrat." I wish her another successful term in office, and with the added enforcements of new progressives, and the reelection of "The Squad" they can really start steering the conversation instead of being treated like the kids in the backseat while the so-called adults drive the car. I just hope she doesn't reach a burnout point, because her activism has been so essential in getting people to turn up and vote again. Not saying that someone else couldn't step into that front facing role, but noone else has juiced up the young vote and been more effective at engaging discussions on a national platform than she has.

( I don't know who thought of that before me, but it rings true to me. ) It would take the most extreme circumstances to go above that. Just like the draft, that's going into ownership of your body. WW2 seemed necessary. Vietnam, not. ( Both Dem drafts btw. The Right balances toward liberty while the Left, equality. ) I try to balance where I deem best on specific issues, trying to keep an open mind. Peace
