Lol idiot Climate change is bollocks it's a cycle that's been going on from the beginning of time every 20 years they have to change the BS Normally saying by the year ???? Ice caps have melted and huge parts of America will be under water only to be proven wrong Al gore was another who got it wrong even in the Antarctic and Alaska they have detailed charts set out for public to see that show how fast the ice is melting only to remove and put up new charts because they got it very wrong in one case the caps had not melted they had actually frozen and grew so it's fact the scientists exaggerated findings this is total B.S. it's a cycle and we will probably go in to a mini ice age within the next 30 years another Democrats lie

A QUICK google search shows: top two most polluting countries china followed by USA. As far as the top garbage (MSW) producer, it's Canada, Bulgaria, USA etc. I wanted to respond quickly so people wouldn't see your lies. Where is africa or asia in that list??😂

Watched a show with AOC and normchopsky she is really an intelligent woman. Great speaker and looks like someone you can trust to do what's right. Don't see none of that in the political system now days.. I hope see makes it to the top

@thumpologist Yes CO2 is needed for photosynthesis but there is no lack of CO2 for vegetation they have evolved with a CO2 level between 180 ppm-280 ppm for a miljon years ATLEAST. Vegetation also needs water but do you plant maize in a lake and imagine more water is better, well maybe you do?? More CO2 can in controlled environments be positive, but that is in greenhouses otherwise it can be really harmful. And this is not about plants it is about changing the environment for the whole ecosphere of the planet in a short amount of time. Sort of funny you call somebody ignorant and stupid. Tempting fate a bit there.

Yes but these plants are sequestering co2 like never before meaning in larger than normal amounts and its actually making the plants less nutritious and giving off an imbalanced amount of sugar, etc.

@greeleyestatelove Plants sequester what they do but might grow faster. Dont exactly know all effects, doubt anybody knows but although CO2 is important there are many more variables. What type of plants, they all have different needs and act differently. More CO2 that CAN promote faster growth require more water, so is more water available? Then you have the "global warming" bit, the effect of more CO2, will this promote or be detrimental to the plant? One already discovered effect is that crop can actually become smaller by a combination of warmer climate, if higher CO2 content also is a factor is unknown. The reason crops get smaller is that for example wheat mature faster so it have a shorter growing period and develop smaller seeds. This can of course also affect the nutritional value as has already been proven in rice. www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/07/190718085308.htm You also have the effect of higher CO2/warmer climate on insects, both as pollinators and pests which of course affects everything higher up in the food chain. Warmer climate can change so that the insects that pollinate these plants (necessary for the plants survival) miss the time window when this can be done and could mean the extinction of both the plants and the insect. This effect of higher CO2 levels and changed climate on food supply and other plants seems to be in its infancy in regards to understanding. One thing one probably can "presume" is that vegetation zones and patterns will change. Since people live were they live because of the ease of growing crops and trade (close to water/coast lines) this change is negative. Very complicated thing since all life will get affected and nobody really knows how. Just saying "with more CO2 tomatoes grow better in a controlled dedicated green house with unlimited water and nutrients" is as simplistic as stupid. What people should know that when they increase CO2 in a greenhouse they increase it to 1500 ppm (hope nobody is suggesting that as a goal to strive for)and in a "best case scenario" *CAN* get a yield increase of 30%. So personally I am pretty sure that longer growing seasons in places and a 1 C increase temperature have A MUCH LARGER effect than 400 ppm of CO2 that probably is negligible. Well that was my understanding of this topic...

You said a few times nobody may know the answer, but a few years ago this was examined in crops (not in a greenhouse): www.politico.com/agenda/story/2017/09/13/food-nutrients-carbon-dioxide-000511 The reason they know about this measured sugar to nutrient deficit is because as the article says they were comparing crops now to crop s from 20/30 years ago. Quite startling since no one had done so.

@greeleyestatelove Have not read that study before and it might very well be so. The point I was trying to make was that nobody really know how it all works / the total effects of increased CO2. Yes it get warmer, more humidity, heavier rain… might trigger large methane releases from the oceans and permafrost, and on and on... Yeah maybe some vegetation will improve by more CO2 (doubtful) but then on the other hand their pollinators might die out or their habitat all of a sudden be 6 feet under water.. I do agree with you that more CO2 is probably not good for plants, well maybe for the plant but not for the ones eating them… and that should be the point of reference. What I mean with "I doubt anybody knows how this works" I mean ALL effects of the rise of CO2 levels. What I do believe is ANY rapid change of the climate is really bad for human civilisation and that should be the point of reference, not "Large tomatoes with less nutrients" With rapid change I mean less than tens of thousands of years, not as what we have now decades and centuries. Human civilisation did occur 10.000 years ago not because humans grew larger brains then, the brains have been the same size for >100.000 years at least. What happened was a stable climat… we had time to do other things than being nomads. Our society is based on a stable climate *NOT HOW LARGE A TOMATOE CAN GROW* As for your linked article I found it interesting and in large supporting what I believe, nature have already optimized plants for the current ecosystem and if the circumstances change on earth it will take millions of years for nature to adapt again. So really what it cost in money to sort this out is totally irrelevant.

They told us we're would die from climate change in the 70s within 10yrs, then thr 80s in 10yrs, 90s in 10 yrs at least AOC gave us 12 this time😂🤣😂🤣we're still her & no worse for the wear & not sure if you know this but theyve have floods & all kinds of climate disasters for 1000s of years when there weren't as many people here polluting.

So your argument is "There have been flooding and catastrophes before so lets create a big one" Yeah sounds reasonable??? And really nobody (well maybe some nutcase) have said we would die in 10 years, nobody is saying that now (except you?) What it is about is it will spiral out of control, the change will become irreversible and that is not good.

Easy to find but it's all been debunk by other scientists but it hurts the pocketbooks of the elites pushing the lie. They are lying to the world for Big Gov control & eventually global control. There is a such thing as climate change but it's not human caused & if our Gov really cared they would hold China accountable! They are 1# offenders of pollution but Trump is the only person not afraid of China!

@Elyane Tate I would recommend you to change your sources of information. A tip. Tabloid press and mainstream media is not good, they only want clicks, money and are infotainment. Rely on articles with quoted sources and if that sound strange, check the sources. *NOBODY* except maybe your infotainment sources say "we will die in 10 years" AND NO SERIOUS CREDIBLE SOURCE EVER HAVE. Please link one that is not a tabloid or a lone lunatic man with a blogg. The 12 years is that we will probably cross a threshold that makes the damage caused irreversible if we do not start to lower emissions now. The longer we wait the more drastic and expensive the solution will be. Since there will be a solution some how, might take a global war that makes WWII look like a picknick. You look at the Great Barrier reef dying… things are changing already and for the worse and so far this is nothing compared what can happen. Human burn fossil fuels that produced CO2 and you say "Dont know what caused this" Guess you are the kind of person who could start up your wood stove in your house and then wonder where the smokes comes from. I suspect that is the case and it probably does not matter what anybody say. Just a shocker earth is not flat, older than 6000 years and pigs cant fly. I suggest you look at Miami, that is not a lie, it is happening "and it aint God" The explain why some dark force wants to destroy Miami and Bangladesh and really how they do raise the sea level. @Elayne Tate Yes AOC said "12 years left" *TO ACT" quoting a IPCC report in regards to timelines to keep the temperature change below +1.5 C Nothing about we would be dead in 12 years. And really it has not been debunked. And really China is not the big offender, an American pollute 2x what a European or Chinese does and 12x what a Person in India do, Americans are among the worst polluters in the world/capita. And really how do you get world control by claiming that burning fossil fuels threaten and hurt our planet?? It really is quite simple. 1. Fossil fuels contains carbon, burning it produce CO2, that is chemistry, it is realesed in to the air. Hence the content of CO2 in the air (and sea) rise. This can be measured, and is. CO2 traps heat, physics, this can be checked in a laboratory or by yourself at home (there are simple You Tube videos about this). Since CO2 traps heat it gets warmer. Do not need Einstein for that conclusion. It would be harder to explain if this did not happen. And really only the USA is afraid of China, but on the other hand the USA is afraid of most things.
