I've commented a couple times recently on your videos as they are spot on and enjoyable to watch & learn about Thailand/Bangkok. You should make a short video about eletrical outlet issues/surge protectors & brining a cell phone to Thailand and being able to get a Thailand cell service SIM. I am coming to BKK soon and have questions about these issues and feel you would be able to speak to this stuff quite well

Hey Cal, loads of super useful info, which I had to research on my own over longer time when I first came to live to Thailand. I use marketplace to find good rental deals - and also the websites you mentioned. Thanks alot and keep it up bro, its super useful.

What a great video! I saw many hosts on airbnb offering the TM30 form, what are your thoughts on this and would it qualify you for other things like bank account and visas?
@thebangkokguide
6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words, and yes the TM30 has become something of a necessity in Thailand. It can be a bit ambiguous, but could be asked for it when doing any kind of visa reporting or extensions at immigration or when opening a bank account. It’s always better to have one!

Hi Cal! How do foreigners normally pay the rent to the landlords? Do they pay the juristic office with cash? Do you wire the money into the landlord's bank account? Do you pay at 7-11? Please let me know what is the common method to get the rent to the landlord each month. Thank you!
@thebangkokguide

Hello 👋 Normally you just transfer money directly to the landlord’s bank account every month.
You said something about not being able to read Thai. In this world there’s no reason why you wouldn’t be able to read the contract. Whip out your phone and point it at the contract with a language translation app. Boom translated for you to read.
