It's a translation error, here in Italy it's called a stool / bedside rug. It was used many years ago when beds were very high off the floor, so they were used to get out of bed

Ciao, seguo i tuoi lavori di restauro e mi piacciono. Il disegno laserato non è male, ma se non sbaglio questi scendiletto per vecchi letti a baldacchino, o simili, sopra avevano l'imbottitura tipo poltrona. Quelli più belli erano anche in velluto, almeno io li ricordo così. In ogni caso è un bel lavoro e così com'è si potrebbe usare come tavolino da salotto.

Esatto erano per letti alti. In origine era imbottito con un disegno con degli alberi di ciliegio stile giapponese. Ho voluto provare a dare un tocco di originalità a mio modo di vedere. Un saluto e Grazie

Ese mueble No es una "alfombra". Es una mesa, o una mesita...¿Pero una alfombra? Busca el significado de alfombra en google. Es algo que suele ponerse en el suelo o piso para generar confort. Saludos.

Hola, es un error de traducción. En italiano, una alfombra junto a la cama( Sal de la cama puede) significar un taburete. Dado que las camas antiguas eran mucho más altas que las actuales, se utilizó un taburete/Sal de la cama.😃🙋🇮🇹

Economical and ingenious cutting off the metal connectors. Did you apprentice and journeyman with a technical school, or your father, or by observation/application? The Escher print is appropriate to "seek and ye shall find"; wood organization is going to be a real gift for future projects.. Like the tiny drawing on cabinet door -- your daughter's, yours? Brass framework restored to a T. 🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊❤

Hi, you're always here, I'm happy😉. I worked with a carpenter in this workshop, then he retired and I tried to stay. Now it will be easier to find some tables😅. The drawings on the cabinet are my daughter's.

The tiny drawing, though only a brief glance in the video and a couple of other videos, seems to have an accurate perspective of your trademark. You must have passed on some of your wonderful artistic genes. You'll always have the benefit of her work and probably more if you and your wife encourage her, at least in your workshop.
