Do you remember how often you had to declutter the loft in your old kitchen? Do you think this will work? Perhaps you could take a photo of every item in your stash and create an inventory board on milanote. So you could consider those items first when you plan a new room, pull the photo on to your moodboard and not forget about them?

I love how it came out, but I feel like the table and chair will become impractical because you can’t put your legs under the table, so it could be hard to work on.

I'll be curious if that little enclosed space will actually be used by anyone as office space. It does seem like it makes more sense to just put floor to ceiling shelving and hooks in there and use it as a storage space.

@@oldsha10 Agreed they need a space for that. I am not sure sitting in a windowless closet is a place I want to be in, even if it is nicely decorated. My guess is it will gather clutter in the same way the previous space did.

Agreed I think it will be echoey with that roof, if they do use it for zoom calls I expect they will end up filling the ceiling frame or stapling fabric on it to dampen the sound

@@CK1000ism I worked in a big, multi-floor downtown office for a financial institution. We had exactly these kind of little zoom rooms for phone calls, because the rest of the office was open concept. When you had a phone call or zoom meeting, it was a way to make sure you weren't bothering anyone else, and you were typically online in one for 15min-60min at a time.

Graham is so everything! Don't know if they have these in Canada but I saw someone use Elephant Tags for storage. You buy the packs, use the app to take pictures of everything (you can tag, number, etc) then put the QR tag on the box and scan it. If you need to find something you pull up your pics and it tells you which box it's in.

I found it! looked for quite a while but I found it! It really is a THING but it is called Elephant Trax. Now to find who sells the system, because I desperately need it!!

I remember the tree house. You got me through the period just before the lock down when I was shut in. Then the pandemic. I went back and saw every tape I could find of you and Dani. Now I am a sick shut in again. Just so you know, I've had ten operations in a little over three years. And I'm old and I live alone. You kept me in fine company all this long time. Thank you

Love the mini office space! Will be great for when someone is in a Zoom/video call so they can have some privacy and not disturb the rest of the office.

It's great to have a meeting room. Especially when you have those video calls with clients. It would look way more professional to do them in an enclosed space with no disturbances. Love it! Using the space on the top for storage is awesome!

The ladder to storage seems logistically awkward but I’m guessing this arrangement will transition as needed. Saving money on a storage unit is an obvious win.

Oh my gosh your team has outgrown this space!! Y'all are so cramped. I can't believe you added a desk where the ladder slides. Haha time for a new space! 🤗

Seeing how dark it is in there, I'd kind of like to see an overhead light in your meeting room, if the ceiling isn't too low.

Hi, you should do a risk assessment etc, and have a process for accessing the roof storage (ie two people must be there, items up there can only be a certain weight, etc etc)….. if an employee fell while using it, or had a strain injury from passing something heavy down they would have a case to claim. It looks great though! Just worth being cautious as an employer!

Just want to add to this that it looks like your office is a sprinklered space and the ceiling/roof has blocked sprinkler coverage into that room. Where I live, this would be a problem in a commercial space. Looks great but make sure you are comfortable with your compliance!

i think it looks good! To bring more natural light in (so it doesnt feel too cozy) I would cut an opening on the back wall and put some frosted glass. this will let light travel from one side the the other and potentially make it feel bigger. but das just me

Also some ventilation is needed. That space could become very stuffy very quickly. But it’s an extremely sweet room and I love the creativity from the team that made it happen. I want a library ladder!!

"I like pink now". I love that! My husband is also into pink now. For our bedroom I was toying with the idea of going pink and yellow, and when I was trying to ease him into my idea he just cut me off and said: "I'd love to have yellow walls with our pink bed." I can't tell you how happy that made me. I didn't even need to show him the art print that inspired it, he was already on board. I love these men secure with their masculinity.

with the new desk being there, you can't even move the library ladder much anymore...? I'm so confused ☹️ I hope you can get enough air circulation in that tiny room you built, too! it's cute but it's so tight and dark. the darkness doesn't feel suitable for good quality video calls, but I'm sure you make it work and it looks better in real life :))

I would put a fenced railing on the storage, or half a wall in front ( maybe plexi glass) so that it's safer and you can see through what you have up there... 😘

My construction superintendent partner is super concerned that the storage room isn’t fire rated and could be a big fire hazard. The sprinklers on the main ceiling don’t reach inside and there’s also no ventilation!

It’s really cute but I thought to myself “Why didn’t they use it as a storage?!” since it’s closed up now it could have been fantastic for decor, tools, etc… Nevertheless it’s still cute ☺️

i always thought they needed a dedicated space for virtual meetings, rather than being around everyone else working. now they have a little closed off nook that can be used for that purpose or phone calls or something.

Perfect private place for your video meetings. Like a lovely big phone booth.😂😂😂 The colors are great. Very smart to put the storage on top. You have put together a great team. Graham is one talented person. You two are so in tuned to each other and so fun to watch together.

Very nice makeover. Like the library ladder track and safety bar on the loft. The pink decor is very nicely done.

LoL y‘all at the storage unit was such a mood. It’s literally me at the realization moment when I see all the stuff and go “oh my how did it get to be this much stuff” BTW LOVE LOVE LOVE the color choices.

That “flower” rug that was too big is screaming that it’s a wall tapestry (of sorts) in a room where acoustics need to be improved subtly. A big wall in a room with a fireplace…. Wow, I’m so loving the thought!! ❤❤❤

It's so cute and actually very functional for Zoom/video calls. It's small but not cluttered, so it works. I love that shade of pink on the interior walls and those doors are beautiful! The ladder just finishes it off! You guys work together so well, and Graham is AMAZING!

She painted hers white (wasn’t available) and it looks so cute & functional in her apartment foyer! The top of course is her drop zone. You need a longer ladder and should move the railing higher for safety. That’s part of what the instructions were trying to tell you, lol. Having it low like that is throwing off the balance point and increases your risk of falling when grabbing things off the loft.

I am so in love with Graham that it actually makes me mad when I see him and know how happy hes going to make someone that isnt me. Anyway... Graham. Ill steal your heart one day.

I love the look of that little room, and the color is perfect. I also love that storage loft with the library type ladder.
