Personally, I used to drive by little abandoned buildings that looked just like this and always had the idea of renovating them. I’m living my dream through your eyes! Like I want to help!

It would be really cool to see the old photos over the years in the home. We renovated an old city building that would be considered a tiny home now. Found so many things in the walls along with signatures of the founders of our town.

For me that long windowless entryway would have to go. Just looking at it gives me a claustrophobic feeling. I can't imagine coming into that building and walking down that hallway every day.

I watch videos by a gentleman from Australia who is also renovating an old store into a home. You might be interested in his videos. His Grandparents first moved into it many years ago and turned it into a home. His work is brilliant. The channel is "4th generation renovation". He does all the work and has made some stunning arched doorways.

Noticed this video is 2 years old but just found you from your fb short. This is so neat! I would have anxiety with all the mess of everything in every room but I'm sure it will be amazing once you finally complete your dream! Can't imagine the electricity bill though 😳

I'm thinking you could use an architect to solidify plans for this building renovation.. I heard a whole lotta maybes, we'll see how it turns out, and probablies.. These can be costly.. For your main living quarters, I would consider having an open concept design so you can keep better track of the little ones as you cook, clean, etc.. Having a designed plan, you could see how much easier life could be that way.. I'm so excited for you and your precious family as you go through this reno journey.
