You have an incredible talent in being able to reimagine furniture, walls, decor, and being able to upscale them! Being able to renew and reuse old furniture to save them from the landfill is amazing. Just curious, do you ever patch real or faux leather pieces? Like over time from wear and tear they tend to peel or scratch off. I would love to see how you'd repair them to look like new!

Thank you so much!! I don’t have extensive experience with leather furniture because I prefer faux for the vegan aspects but I’m sure I’ll be patching some of my faux leather pieces in the future with Piper living in the house, I’ll make sure to post when I do :)

Alright I'm back now that I finished the video! I love everything you've done so far and I'm always so impressed with how creative you are!! Your DIYs always seem so doable and it's nice to know that really fun awesome looking projects are possible without an enormous woodworking shop or thousands of dollars. I really enjoy watching you explain your thought process behind everything. Keep up the great work!

This is a real trust the process situation for me, so far everything is so out of my personal style that I can't picture what it'll look like when it's done. But I'm sure your parents will love it in the end 🧡

I just finished watching part 2 (even though I saw shorts of the table projects you were working on). I was confused when your Dad said, "they had other rooms" because I knew you already renovated other parts of the home. Now it makes sense! It's incredible how much value you were able to put into the old home with such a tight budget (and no renovation)! That is incredible!!!! Testament to your work and it is so beautiful watching you grow and be more creative with your designs!

This looks amazing! I want to thrift a leather chair and paint it a fun colour. Is there a way to calculate how much paint you need?
@emilyrayna
8 ай бұрын
It really depends on the starting color of your piece! I’ve had furniture pieces where I got away with barely 2 coats but these chairs were a different story because they’re dark! I would start with one of the 4oz paints for a standard furniture piece and leave time to order more as needed :)

@@emilyrayna :0 You replied to me! Thank you, I love your videos 💕 I bet the colour you're painting with also makes a difference, in my experience yellow paints are usually the least opaque, so it makes sense that you needed lots of coats! I was actually hoping for more of an estimate of how much paint will cover a certain area, and that way I could measure the chair to figure out what I'd need for one coat, then multiply that by however many coats I'd estimate would be needed. You see, I assume shipping to Norway won't be fast or cheap, so I'd rather not have to order twice 😅 But I don't blame you if you haven't kept track of exactly how much you've used. Maybe I should just order more than enough to be sure, and if I end up with some left over I can always use it for smaller projects 😊
