@@leonardohernandez4538 i dont mean that. NOt at all. Rener is better than he puts on. I highly highly respect Rener, and think he can submit anyone. He just likes to teach, even if it was a tournment or something. lol he dont care if he "lost" i think he is top 5 JJ practitioners EVER. AND no i dont think he was throwing any shade at Eddie either. Just saying. Its not hard to get wrapped up, happens all the time btw. Im NO BODY and i put my friend that "knows" his stuff lol. Plus u see it more and more in like MMA and JJ tournys. Its just guys are getting better at getting to that position or ending up in it, and if you practice like anything. You get good. Yes though if you are aware of the set ups, and there can be many, and u can fall into a position and boom. Again the better they are the more comfortable of Finding that position they naturally are. While they are Flowing/rolling.

The color of the belt does not matter :), you can use any of these 3 variations to tie any rank or color of your belts. As a white belt, you may tie it wrong, or even as a blue belt as mentioned by Rener; however, just because an individual is a white belt does not give them the excuse to tie incorrectly. Learn the Super lock and stick with it. Good luck.

I was embarrassed for the first 2 lessons of their karate training after sending them in with the most horrible ties. I was in denial about their belt ties ("oh, someone will help you"). I quickly saw that was bull. The other KZread videos were too fast for my hands, and I''m not even incompetent with my hands for real, but a little explanation made all the difference.

First section shows you how to tie the regular knot and avoid having one end sticking straight up and one straight down, then the second tie shows you how to make it look good, the third is the method to use once you get used to it, because it won’t fall apart during a roll.

That's so true the belt really doesn't matter they always think because you are a black belt you have a rank it doesn't mean that you are good it's pretty much all in the in skills believe me it's all about the skills not the belt it's just a rank the real black belt is what's in your heart deep inside of you because if you only thinking about getting a black which there is nothing wrong with that but if you only chasing that then you are not gonna be a good martial artist that's in every martial arts Karate Judo Taekwondo Hapkido Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Aikido so fort it's all about the training not the belt

Saku Yamamoto I agree with you for sure. My taekwondo master always told us "Do you want to be a black belt, or a real black belt?" He was saying having a black belt is nothing, you can even buy it yourself. But a REAL black belt is the result of training, dedication, and commitment in your training.

Rener, I love GJJ and practiced for years under RGJJ and Rodrigo handed me my blue belt. It means a lot to see that blue is a crossroad for alot of people. Alot stay and alot go for various reasons. I miss rolling and learning GJJ and I stopped because I got Rock bottom and had to struggle just to feed my family. So I stopped because I can't afford a school. But I can learn everyday thru books and video. Well, thanks again for everything your family does.

I always did the first way, but I never ended up with the belt looking sloppy in the back because I straightened it out in the back so that there was just one layer of them on top of each other before I made the knot in the front. Now that I go to a jiu-jitsu dojo, that method is no longer effective because it comes loose about every five minutes. I think jiu-jitsu belts are made slightly differently than karate belts. Thank you so much for showing us the super lock method. My classmate at my jiu-jitsu dojo showed me it because my belt kept coming loose, and now I can use this video as a refresher for when I go back on Sunday.
