Christian had the best theme in TNA and WWE (original close your eyes)

People keep thinking Christian came up with the "what" thing, that wasn't how the story was told. It was Austin who called Christian up on his phone and was messing around with Christian and everytime Christian responded Austin would cut him off and say "WHAT!". The next night Christian heard Austin doing it in the ring and was like "oh my god is he really doing that out there?". So yeah the "what" chant is all on Austin.

It was Austin leaving a message on Christian's voicemail while he was driving. He would be talking about the highway he was driving down and stopping mid-sentence to say, "What?"

2005 Christian Heel run was red hot when he was in a program with Jericho and cena. I wanted him to win so badly but glad he got to show his potential in TNA run.

I laughed so hard at Rene saying to say Christian to prison for life for coming up with What 😂

I love Christian! Honestly I like him more than edge. I love edge but I felt Christian was a good heel. Both funny but serious in the ring and since he’s not big he’ll have to cheat to win. To me he fits the intercontinental title role perfectly. But absolutely deserved a main title push years before he actually got it. Glad he went to TNA to get his moment

Christian is a decent enough looking dude.. not sure what Vinces hang up was with his face.

It's because Christian has a rat face that is somewhat obscured by his facial hair. A great example of a rat face was Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It's not so much that Christian is universally ugly but it's the kind of face that plays into phobias similar to kids who hate brussel sprouts.

Rat faces get associated with con artists, sexual deviants (little little kids), and skeezy ethics. I don't hate rat faces personally but Vladimir Lenin would come to mind as meeting the worst stereotypes of one. Rats get associated with the Bubonic Plague as well. I don't find rats horrifying but many do for good reasons. My visceral reaction would be more to snakes

It is neither a surprise nor a contradiction. Yokozuna, Mabel, and Kane were two super heavyweights and a "monster," their faces didn't really matter. Christian was a relatively average or arguably even below average build by WWE preferences and standards, so his face mattered more to someone like Vince. And Vince apparently just didn't like it, for whatever reason. (It could also be that Vince just wasn't *that* hot on Christian in general, and it is just a story about Vince not liking his face that caught on.)

I was hyped af when Christian landed in TNA he did not disappoint.

The what chant comes out when the audience finds a promo is trying too hard or amusing. Haha it happens everywhere but it's great to hear what pro wrestlers really think of it.

Christian was better off in TNA than he is in AEW.

The what chant with Steve Austin in the ring is different than the ones you get now. Back then it felt like it was shaking the building. I only saw Steve Austin in the ring twice.

First of all in 2004 and 2005 they made a big deal about how good looking Christian was listen to it and second they made fun of this rumour on the eandc show with both Christian and Vince mocking the internet. How much more proof do you need this rumour is not true and no jobber who doesn't even know anything will change that.
