    What a ballache to change the air filter , I understand re the turbo malarky , alas the days of a simple 60 second pan and wingnut air filter exchange are gone . Brilliant video by the way.

    Hello mate, thanks for the vid! Super useful. Never done my own service before but going to give it a go on my 06 reg kangoo following this. Any advice on where to get parts if not euro car parts?

  • @WildManFrizzell

    @WildManFrizzell

    WMajor I always used Euro car parts just because they have good discounts. If I can’t get a part at Euro I go to TMS which is in my local area. Have a look online, that’ll probably set you up with some local places for you. ✌🏼

    Hi wildman,very good video for DIY foreman. I just want to know the last bottle you put is that coolant for radiator? The blue colour ones..

  • @WildManFrizzell

    @WildManFrizzell

    2 жыл бұрын

    That blue coloured liquid was windscreen wash, I’m pretty sure I mentioned that in the video but I could be wrong. Coolant was in a black container and the coolant liquid was red in colour.

    You need to prime the fuel pump if you’ve replaced it. Flick ignition on for 10 seconds then off and back on again for 10 seconds. Repeat that a few times and that should fill the new fuel pump up with fuel.

    35:52 is that the coolant expansion tank on the left and the power steering fluid beside it on the right ? Both with black lids. Asking as I've just bought a kangoo sl17dci 70 and wanna service her soon and top up fluids etc

    Not sure what it’ll be like on your engine but it should say on the caps what the fluid is for

    Hia mate , I've watched several of your vids about the kangoo , I've a 1.4 2001 petrol but my thermostat housing is cracked , is it an easy job ? Have you any advice on bleeding system afterwards ?

  • @WildManFrizzell

    @WildManFrizzell

    4 жыл бұрын

    bunny boiler this is a really easy job. The only hard part might be locating it. Sometimes thermostats are in hard to reach places. Disconnect the bottom pipe that connects to the radiator behind the bumper and remove the coolant reservoir cap to drain all the coolant. Undo the bolts holding the thermostat housing and remove. Fit new thermostat and tighten bolts. Connect radiator pipe back on and fill coolant to just above the minimum mark. Run engine to operating temperature keeping an eye on the coolant to make sure it doesn’t drop too much. Turn off engine and let it cool then top up coolant to just below the max line. Job done!

    @@WildManFrizzell ah you star for replying , I joined a renault forum but people were dicks as I don't know much about cars as it's my first and an old girl too , the thermostat is right on the front so access is pretty easy , I'm going off advice from an AA mechanic who said my bleed nipple has been done up with bathroom sealant too but guessing replacing that pipe with new be fairly easy too ?

    That might explains the strange web "check service cost suggestion" at 16k miles. That i uses 8L om coolant on the same service, 4L glykos 774f oem yellow, and 4L Glycol etylen 774j 4L. Or is it mixes somehow. but proboly and auto counter #time for waterpump"=4l change and coolant change +4L. Good video many thanks

    I have long replaced those tyres as they were very loud on normal road conditions. I think they were 185/45/15 Rallygrip. They went out of stock for a while but I just did a quick check on eBay and they are back on sale. Happy shopping, tell them the WildMan recommended. ✌🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Have you ever done the head gasket on the kangoo as I think mine has just gone due to oil in my coolant tank ?

  • @WildManFrizzell

    @WildManFrizzell

    2 жыл бұрын

    That does sound like your head gasket but I’ve never done one on a Kangoo. I’d imagine it would be easy enough. The hardest part would be removing the injectors and that
