RENAULT ESPACE 6 (2024) 7-Seater SUV to Rival Peugeot 5008

The Renault Espace is a popular minivan in Europe that has been in production since 1984. The new 6th generation Renault Espace is a long-wheelbase version of the Austral compact SUV and is lighter and shorter than its predecessor.
The new Renault Espace 6 has a more spacious third row, and customers can choose between five or seven seats. The cargo area varies from 5.6 cubic feet to 64.2 cubic feet.
The new Espace VI is available with a turbocharged 1.3-liter gasoline engine as a full hybrid with a pair of electric motors, and has a more sophisticated multi-link rear suspension and rear-wheel steering. Renault claims that fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 40% compared to its predecessor, and it has CO2 emissions of 105 g/km.
The new Renault Espace will be available for order this spring 2023.

Personally, I would like this car to have power sliding doors like the Kia Carnival because it is very convenient in a cramped parking lot for children to get out.

@@bim-manager8536 sooo much this… even on japanese kei cars the rear sliding doors are a game changer… on a huge … su… mp… thing… it should be standard… I phear they based this on the Mitsubishi Outlander instead of the Delica like for the Nissan Elgrand…

@@xAntrim yea, you make no fracking sense. If the espace don’t sell, the name don’t sell, the product is failling, you don’t make a different car and name it like a previous failure… It’s now a bigger koleos … The espace was/is a minivan.

The odity of the Espace design was a strong point. It was all about ideas and creativity combined with the odassity to create new markets. But as time goes by, selling cars that look alike is a new hype. Its a pitty but also this trend will be temporary. This Espace is one to forget.
Perfect. Quick reminder that Renault doesn't have a 7seater SUV, so switching it to SUV was actually a good move and whats the harm, you only get a bit more of a clearance and thats it.

Unfortunately its not a true 7 seater more like 5 seats with 2 emergency seats for short trips due to the inefficiencies of the SUV shape compared to MPV/Van shape

@@x3merx3mer I'm talking more in that they shouldn't have named it Espace when Espace was an MPV not an SUV . I'm not saying it's a bad car on the contrary I think it's fantastic but the name is a mistake. Like Mitsubishi naming Eclipse , a legendary sports name to a SUV

The renault grand espace generarion 4 was the best shaped MPV, the model who comes close to it now is believe it or not the VW Multivan T7...

Which part of this SUV is an MPV. 7 seats doesn’t make a car an MPV. No harm in trying to get the best of both worlds. Good luck Renault.

How it can be 5008 rival? There are only 2 ISOFIX points on second rows. True Espace should have 3 in second, and 2 in third row. It is fake , no Espace.
Indian market needs this. िफ़ its launched on road price rang of Rs0.9 to 1.4 million, This will kill all 7 seatrs of budget price segment. Its jow or never.

Perfect design
As nice as this looks it now looks more suv as opposed to MPV, and why go to all the trouble and cost of making the inside look sleek and premium just to leave the rear cup holders looking like when folded up??? It looks like a complete afterthought that was done by a backstreet garage for a few quid instead of a quality finish like the rest of the interior

did I get it right.. a "family" SUV with a gigantic pano roof and no option to close it? Does anyone at Renault have kids? Also it looks like the AWD is not going to be offered at all?

There is a "opacifing" sunroof option... Which means it makes the glass milky. I guess nobody at Renault understands that heat radiation doesn't mind milky glass and the brightness can still be annoying.... But sure, everyone wants a crazy expensive glass roof, because it's cool right? For like... gazing at the clouds. :D This trend is one of the stupidest.

All the generations of Renault Espace France had .
I am very disappointed with how Espace has changed. I have a 2013 model. My friends and I placed four bikes inside, four people and went to competitions. It was amazing. And when Russia invaded Ukraine, this car saved my life, my family and my friends when we left our hometown. Unfortunately, the new Espace no longer has the cool features of its predecessors.

I would NEVER trade my 2014 Espace 4 for this one. The new one is much smaller in the interior and looks less practical than my old Espace 4. I wonder when will manufacturers end this SUV craziness and bring back sensible cars for families.
They just killed the spirit of the Espace… This is just another SUV!

@@peterpanda1970 Why waste tax payers monies to bail out which can be put into better use. Silly to make MPV when it cannot sell and make no sense at all. The minority wanting to buy MPV like you will bankrupt Renault in the future due to low volume sales . Your purchase of any MPV if there is any offering from Renault is NOT NEEDED. 😒😒 Renault is making more SUV and throwing away MPV in order to make monies and to increase market share.

This is not an Espace. Espace should be an MPV, not an SUV. Unbelievable how much worse this is than versions II and III from the 1990s. If the market wants another SUV so be it, but don't call it an Espace.

In expositions cars are supplied with electricity through wires, they cant start the engine all the time to have full functionnalities ;)
OMG where did that HIDEOUS rear fender shoulder line come from? Who comes up with this stuff? It totally messes up the profile. The previous Espace at least didn't look like a generic SUV, even if it wasn't the MPV the line started as...
