Nice. 90 HP still perform well in general traffic conditions where you usually don´t have to accelerate from 0 - 100 and go top speed. Even on a german Autobahn going 185 can make you the fastest car for a while because majority of drivers don´t go more than 150. Good car at reasonable price with great looks.

I own a Logan MCV2 with blue dci 95, i wonder if this clio goes better since both have most likely the same engine

How was the consumption?

I did 195 on the Autobahn last month in the same model but from 2014, with a little downhill help. Packed with camping gear too. It was only later that I read that the official top speed is 180, haha.

6:05 what was the reason of that oversteer? Because of car or road? Because you were keeping steering wheel at same rotation but the car suddenly oversteers. I wondered the reason just :)

Okay now I found the reason. You are lifting off your foot from the gas pedal and that causes to the lift of oversteer :)

No he stepped on the white strip plus it was wet plus the centrifugal force caused the car to slip :the rear wheel slipped toward the out of corner causing the rear end of the car to gain momentum and the force of that movement is perpendicular to trajectory toward the out of the corner

At 4:42 it’s weird how the speed limiter is going from 185 down to 183 and then up again

Yeah, it seems to use the brake to limit the speed. Causing it bounce into the limiter and off again. Worst choice for a limiter I have seen so far.

i envy you. In Korea, only the 4th generation Clio dci model comes in and there is only a DCT combination. A manual transmission would have been great.

I used the eight which is in the German registration papers. This is the heaviest version of the car. Renault says it’s around 1280 or so but that’s with an empty tank

Why is it so quiet? My 2017 Clio mk4 sounds like you're inside a jet plane at 130+

Ain't nothing better than driving a clio to it's max, then use those same gloves later for some gardening work and chopping a couple trees!

This was with ESP on. Most fwd cars will oversteer in off throttle conditions.

This is the worst car I ever drove (normal one not estate). The sound in was horrible on the highway, the engine wasn't powerful especially at low revs. You always have to push it. And this speed limiter at 185kph : horrible too. But on the other hand : great handling, good gearbox, feels like a go kart.

If you thought this engine was bad you should try the 1.0 in the newer Clio V 😅 That engine has no power at all😂 I agree the car is a lot more fun with a little bit more power. Yes, the speed limiter is the worst I have ever had. Who had the idea to limit the speed by using the brakes to slow down the car by 3 kph to then let it accelerate again, just to repeat this process. @@TopSpeedBrothers Ahah I have no doubt about the 1.0 SCE. The dci90 was "powerful" at high revs, as shown in your video, but drive always like this is not comfortable. What I except from a Diesel engine is torque at low revs (like bluehdi 100, wonderful engine btw), and not power at high revs (I would buy a petrol). The sound at 130/140kph is horrible too. This is the main cons of the car. I saw your video with the last Clio TCE 130. The car seems to be more pleasant to drive. It is proposed in my company car catalog. But I have a Cactus HDI 100 which is perfect for the moment :)

@@TopSpeedBrothers Honestly almost every channel on KZread drives super cars and fast sports cars, it's somewhat exhausting. Seeing channels post other more relatable and normal every day cars is, to me at least more exciting and interesting than seeing expensive sports cars driving fast. These are the cars you rarely see any content about like this, even though its much more relatable vehicles. Please keep posting videos like these, it gets a like from me.

Why bs? Engine wont die if engineer rate it for 75 kW it can produce max 75 kW for long time with its cooling system. Full throttle produce full power no problem. If tune engine then can die, factory engine on clio very reliable, thats why lot mercedes use engine. U learn car before say why drive 100 kmh third gear - it reach max torque and power around 3-4k RPM, which the intention here - show how much power car has, not how drive car economical. I drive clio and even car say shift down if you want more power when full throttle at 80 kmh and fifth gear. I agree car not meant go this speed. I say 130 be safe for engine long term. Can push more but engine work hard. Sometime healthy for engine, but not always. If you want speed go for something like a bmw or mercedes with more power than a typical person would ever need, if u want economy car that uses 2x less than mercedes then go for clio.
