I've finally changed it. If you can't push it down like in the video: I've put on the lever and in the handle hole some motor grease. Later I put the new handle rotating it in the lever (not pushing) with the help of big work gloves. It fitted perfectly.

very helpful for my old 2001 Megane, too. So I knew, after watching this video, that it is not possible to get the knob off without destroying it. Made it easy like you did. Cutting it off, cleaning it and putting, pressing the new knob with a bit of glew onto the shift. Is looking perfect

sorry, but it looks like shite. the hole is not big enought or what? there is a big gap. also: the metal part will burn your hand in the summer. i'm planning to change mine because it's scratched, there is no way to remove the stock knob without damaging it?

I covered the gap with a ribbon, easy to find and very cheap. Looks awesome

@@AI.MadeTechReviews You could have used blow torch on the inside of the new knob hole to slightly melt the plastic and while still soft easily push it in the place where it will pretty much weld itself onto the grooves of the shaft and stay there securely and all the way to the end removing the gap.

I saw that to, looks bad I already bought this stuff.. the boot looks nice though. If I can't get it all the way in going to cut the level a lil shorter 😅

So basically you had no idea on how to do it but decide to make a video about it, and in the end not even placing it fully?? 😂👎🤣
