I’m starting to think Ren is just a hallucination from our collective consciousness…. How the heck can this guy keep making songs that resonate so profoundly? He’s amazing. I almost feel guilty I didn’t discover him until Hi Ren but I’m so glad we all know about him now. Genuine talent, a capacity to hit right to the heart of the issue with subtlety. Also how the F has Ren got less than 1M subs?

A month later he has over a million now. I subscribed the first song I heard which was Hi Ren also about 2 hours ago and I have just been blown away each minute since and have to really express how fortunate I feel I am that the universe decided I needed or deserved to be gifted with the experience of life with this brilliant being contributing words to thoughts I've had but couldn't quite articulate and all the added genius I could only dream of dreaming up myself which I know I couldn't but definitely have a slot in space time for that I suspect has been reserved for him since before his first thought became one. I'm really relieved that life didn't pass me by without introducing me to this multi faceted artist of all kinds of beauty and pain and awe. Thank you universe.

I wholeheartedly agree. I have 41 years of music training and performance experience and it’s been a very long time since I’ve been this obsessed with an musical artist. And the breadth of his abilities and mastery of a variety of genres is astonishing. Speaking of his health, he does have a GoFundMe which I’ve contributed to. If all of us could give even 2-5 pounds towards his healthcare, medical bills would be one less thing he has to worry about. I’m trying to spread the word here and there in case folks aren’t aware. Cheers. :)

Ren created his own genre and every song hits deeper and different than ANYTHING I've ever heard. And im a passionate music lover for over 40 years. This is the first time i really consider myself a real fan and there are thousands who feel the same. Ren's an amazing director, producer, composer, songwriter, singer, multiinstrumentalist, actor and master of all genres. And don't forget that he does all of this by himself and the help of a few good friends without a huge budget. I think he's comparable to Shakespeare, Mozart or Beethoven. He's one of the greatest of all time and they'll talk about him long after he's gone. To witness something like that is a once in a century event.

Ren...if you read this, I want you to understand the impact you are having not just in the musical realm (which is barrier breaking and HUGE) but also on a human level. Your music is reaching and touching so many lives. I am a 39 year old metalhead and I have sobbed like a child listening to your music. Your ability to reach inside and communicate raw emotion so beautifully is a gift. This song brings me back to myself as a teenager, inside that tomb in my head. Thankfully, I was not successful. I now have a thriving, beautiful 16 year old son...there is so much love and wonder in this world. We just have to hang on and wait for the light to shine again. Or do sad eyes blind me? [Chorus: both] Over and over we go Over the hills and the valleys below Oh, and it follows me, follows me home And it suffocates me, hmmm [Post-Chorus: both] Oh, I can't breathe I said oh, I can't breathe All I know is I forgot how to be me [Verse 2: Ren, both] I don't feel safe in these halls There are bruises on the walls There are bodies in the floors And they breathe so loudly I wish I could move Get up and walk right out this tomb Do our saviours die too soon? For my sins surround me [Chorus: Ren, Chinchilla, both] Over and over we go (Over and over we go) Over the hills and the valleys below (Over the hills and the valleys below) Oh, and it follows me, follows me home (Follows me, follows me) And it suffocates me, hmmm [Post-Chorus: both, Chinchilla] Oh, I can't breathe I said oh, I can't breathe All I know is I forgot how to be me Hallelujah Where is my god, where are you? Hallelujah Nothing is pulling me through Hallelujah When I don't know how to be Hallelujah I forgot how to be me [Outro: Ren] When he gave up the fight A quick decision late in the night That stayed with me for all of my life I miss you so

I thought the lyric video was so powerful. I watched and listened over and over. But this shit! Watching you two harmonizing, knowing well you’ve both lived behind those walls. Nothing touches this! I’ve been in that house recently, and every time I crawl through that door, there’s the shame that I wasn’t strong enough to stay away. Emasculating. Crippling. Dark. I think the bodies in the floor you speak on is all the times you actually go through with it, in your head. My family keeps me here. My kids keep me here. But I’ve put my body in those floors more than once. Thanks Ren, if nothing else, for being just as God made you.
