OMG. This man is a genius. His music is actually keeping me alive. I was having the worst panic attack of my life so far and I put on rens song ‘hi ren’. And when he said ‘it’s an eternal dance’ something snapped in my brain. And I decided maybe I can live with this depression and anxiety. THANK U REN. All that music is still there. We can have both. As a man in his 40s that grew up during the period, though, I can tell you Ren gave you a great sampling. There's this bounce to it that's just fun.

Even when Ren writes an old school song, it still sounds like sth you 've never heard before but you can definately recognize it is Ren. This means real mastery of music and ones own skills. Stunning....

Love it when Ren flexes and just has fun on these tracks (for the most part). Never been a rap fan but can somehow listen to anything Ren puts out in this genre.

Couldn't of said much better, been on a ren kick these last two weeks. And i really learned about myself and about that self perceived critic inside my voice. Definitely am learning to relax and just live life, really grown to respects his talents more so his ability to connect with me and teach me some things i never really put together even though they were simple things i probably should of. My brain just didn't wanna see or try and connect with. When you live with depression most of your life it almost becomes a solacing voice you get use too, because it does often lead/guide you to better outcomes. But constantly listening to it, leaves you feeling simply outdone, however, i'm feel just speaking to the choired now, have a great day and an amazing rest all of you, cha all of done great things, even if some part of you doesn't wanna see it!

I agree, although I would argue the pressure the label would be putting on him plus the toxicity of stardom would jeopardize his mental health, and probably take away his ability to be so creative and fresh.

I have listened to and loved so many genres over the years from Bob, Beastie Boys and Black Sabbath, Eric B and Rakeem to Xxx, from Violent Femmes to Violons Barbares and everything in between, but you are orbiting them all, you are a legend and I am so thankful I found your music (thanks Billy Bragg for the recommendation) Bring it on Ren. Absolutely with you there. I’m not a metal head more of a rock fan. Shinedown are my guys 💯 but I’ve always enjoyed all genres. However with Ren it’s a whole different story. Not just the message of mental health awareness and autoimmunity illness etc. He has made my playlist go insane I go from rocking out to full on hip hop mode to going fuck yes bro I hear you I get you I’ve been there and still there. Probably eternal xx

I love watching reactions to Ren's videos almost as much as the videos themselves and one guy called him "genre-less" which I thought was perfect. He can literally do any style of music better than almost anyone! This one stands out though. I'm so used to seeing him dark and his videos leaving me with goosebumps and tears streaming down my cheeks. This one had me smiling and dancing. Love seeing him having so much fun playing with all these old school hip hop tropes (heavy dose of the beastie boys 😅) but still 100% pure Ren! Perfection 👌
