He hides many hip hop and pop culture references throughout this song. The chorus I have discovered has lyrics that reference 50 Cents “see me in the club”, the ADHD part of the first verse is directly an homage to Dr. Dre. He hides a sample from Rob Bass “It takes two to make a thing go right” in the beat. The list goes on and on. The giggity giggity part is likely a reference to family guy. He is just genius with pop culture references.

No worries, Tom, the vulgarity is not for everyone. In this song, Ren is just referencing (and possibly mocking) the shock-rappers (Eminem for example.) It also reflects the not feeling “right.” Ren does not feel this way about women at all ( although I doubt he’d say no to sex with Halle Berry, lol.) Sometimes the most wholesome ppl do the most shocking art because ppl do have this side within them, and as artists, we have to let it out at times. When we are feeling cynical, frustrated, and stuck in our brain, it feels good to let out the monster for a while until we are unstuck enough to get to feeling ourselves again. Letting it out is a sort of therapy in itself. Then back to the healing. The vibe is fun, though. I am 99.999% sure Ren does not have a girl locked in his basement.

Ren picked up such a large following from all over the place with his realness in stuff like Hi Ren so I am sure there are some of his fans that will be shocked when he does a song like this but remember he is just a young man feeling a little better and just having fun. Just remember you don't have to love all of his music friends.

The therapy here is that Ren is channelling his inner 13 year old and going for the shock effect! 😂 It would do us all good to do that sometimes and not take life so seriously! Being a female of an age myself I cringed at some of the lyrics but also laughed all the way thru and love the boy for being himself... authentic means allowing yourself to just be silly sometimes and not feel, or more importantly, allow others the power of judgement to make you feel shamed.

I'm guessing this song was kind of 'detoxing' because at the same time he was working on his heavy tracks like Hi Ren, Sick Boi and Suicide - extremely personal and very vulnerable

I can appreciate that not everyone will like it, but oh man your reaction had me laughing my ass off! 🤣 totally honest and I can respect that! I love the song and laughed so hard thru the whole thing. I don’t think he sees women like that at all, he was just having fun and, I think, poking fun at rappers that rap like that for shock value. But mostly? Just all about some fun. Loved your reaction so much and the one you did for Pink True Love! Subbed! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Ren says at the very start “some ideas are a little bit over done”and I see Love Music 4 as Ren just showing us that rappers in the past have used shock lyrics but with no real message and therefore Ren shows us he can do that too but we all know Ren is just having fun that’s why it’s part of the Love Music series and not a “stand alone” track. Have you really dove into Pt4 without hearing 1,2 and 3 ? the series is all about Ren having fun you really need to hear them

The song is a great therapy if you understand all the references. Ren doesn't get dirty here, he just plays with the hiphop/rap clichés and he bows to quite a few artists by putting references everywhere. In the melody, in the lyrics, even in the graphics. I recommend checking out Anthony Ray, who already explains a lot. For my part, I was entertained first class and LMAO. Salute Ren!

I don’t think many people before have sung about their sexual fantasies and certainly not in such an amusing way. The funny thing is that although it’s blatant you could play it for a 10 year old and they wouldn’t have a clue what it’s about underneath the literal words.

Ren is paying homage to rap. Not my cup of tea but the musical flow is wonderful. He puts music into rap. It is not limited but melds melody with rap. The subject material in rap has rarely been balanced with “civil dialogue.”

It's all good, I knew on hearing this that it wouldn't be for everyone. I am a 52 year old woman and personally, I don't really have issues with this. To me, this is more about having fun and playing with styles. I hear shades of Slim Shady, 50 cent, Dr. Dre... even what might be a touch of Hollywood Undead (I'm still on the fence about the last) I think part of what makes it easier for me to go with is that I have watched enough of Ren through live streams etc to feel that I've gained insight into his personality but yeah, it's not something that everyone will gravitate to and that's fine. Honest opinions are always cool!

There has been an interesting dichotomy in response. I would say that 95% enjoyed the vidoe and 5% were disturbed by the sexual connotation. I was shocked first time I listed to the song. Second time, I thought to myself, well it's Ren. Third and 57th times I beleive it is genius. However, I am still mildly annoyed with the sexual reference too. The question is "do we want a clean and sanitized Ren, or do we want to enjoy the utter variety Ren"? I will take the latter please. Perhaps Ren was sexually repressed for that decade of severe disabilty and he is now making up for it in spades. He did tell us in a posting at one point that he does in fact have sex! Ren is not perfect and that is why I love his music and art.

There's nothing more on-brand than Ren putting the most shocking lyrics into a song that's so catchy. The whole point of the song is that he's bored and throwing everything into the song without a care. He actually made a post about this song before it released, as he does with many and explained that he doesn't want to have to worry every time he puts out a song that it's liked by everyone just because most people found him through Hi Ren and it was such a deep song. With that said, his next album is going to be much more guitar-based, traditional, catchy type songs you might hear on the radio that will inevitably have much less of his humor. Also, please do check out Love Music 1, 2 and 3, there's nothing "shocking" in them, they're just really solid songs that work well together and actually sound nothing like this song. This song is very out of place with the label Love Music on it.

As others have said this song is absolutely packed with references. Even the background music is a shout out to old hop hop. My favorite reference is about Hallie Berry. She was in a movie called monster balls . Then he says give head like Henry Tudor/ King Henry the 8th who had his wives beheaded. You can not take this kind of music at face value. Ren is a genius with his pen even when he is just having fun like he is here. The hook sounds like a whole lot of Hispanic music I have heard and the saguaro cactuses in the video tie in with that theme as does the word loco.

The whole LM series is about Rens love for the music that made who he is and so it’s a huge chain of cultural references. And I think it’s only consequent to put his dirty piece in it too. I’m a bit flabbergasted that you have such a trouble to look at it more closely to get to what it is all about. Missed a chance to look deeply at something relevant. Btw: the Chernobyl line seems like a shout out to you and yours: blowing up the reactors by going nuclear.

I'm not going to say that Ren wrote these lyrics with reactions like this in mind, but he was definitely eagerly awaiting them if his last twitch stream was any indication. I think he just knows that there are many different aspects that make up him. Some of them dark and immature, some positive and uplifting. To suppress any aspect is more detrimental in the long run.

I knew from the start this was not a song for you.😅 Anyway props for deciding to still put this reaction up. As for the therapy side. One thing Ren has said is that after Hi Ren he was afraid people would expect all of his songs to be super deep and meaningful. Because sometimes, when he creates, he's just having fun. Specially with the lyrics. Some however may find the lightheartedness in it therapeutic. But in the end it's just a fun song with some lyrics that may cause some to be a little uncomfortable.

    Hmmm. Yes. Ditto on most points. Tempting to dip into deeper analysis on this one, which Ren does invite throughout most of his work! However, {Sophomoric humour?} cannot discount impact of about a decade largely lost to illness and related disability - where he was forced to give up his independence and move back in with his mum, whom he credits with then taking on the primary carer role. This piece is blended with non-stop Hip Hop and Rap references ( which we all know are pretty consistently horrible toward women; usually portrayed as sexualised objects, often with darker and aggressive themes.) I doubt Ren is thinking about this at that level here at all. He's too busy having fun flying across the top, to his beats and flow switches and punching in as many pop-culture references as he can fit. {* I have a large - I mean HUGE - question about the ADHD diagnosis though. Nothing I have seen, scanning across lengthy interviews, and his one-takes, his total and perfectionist micro-management of every aspect of composition, structure and performance production throughout all of his work - speaks to this being in any way accurate. Be interesting to put this question to his current multi-disciplinary team in Canada, now that the Lyme related neurological effects are settling. }

Well said! I would not put him on the scale of ADHD from what I’ve seen. Even though many with ADHD have moments of hyperfocus and productivity, most of them struggle to organize and fight impulsivity. He seems so clear on who he is and where he wants to go and how he’ll get there, I’d say it’s more anxiety??😊👍

Yes, some of that certainly. Coming from Australia, whilst I've been part of various diagnostic teams, I have VERY limited knowledge of the long-term neuro-psych effects of Lyme D, however, since 'meeting' Ren, I've looked up some clinical references and it's clear that the systemic effects on the whole body, including the brain, can pretty profound. Then, when you add in the variable complicating impacts of being bombarded with a whole raft of various psychotropics- including, what I assume were pretty hefty doses of anti-psychotics... It's amazing he's as intact and high functioning as he is. Clearly this Canadian team are on the ball. Not withstanding, of course, Ren's own huge drive to recovery and artistic success. I'm sorry, but to me everything about Ren screams ADHD 😂 Perfectionism and trying to manage every little detail of something you are passionate about are a very common experience for ADHDers! ADHD doesn't mean you can't have attention to detail or focus it mainly means you have trouble directing focus and attention. This can mean being forced to sit still in school or an office and focus on something that is not interesting to you can feel like torture or be simply impossible cause you'll zone out and won't be able to maintain focus. However, if it's something you are passionate about, you can go into intense hyperfocus and forget to eat, drink, sleep, or go to the toilet for HOURS. I think Ren has just found his biggest passion and love in music and it's giving him all the dopamine an ADHD brain craves. He even said in the Twitch live he did after the release of LM4 that his advice for anyone struggling with ADHD is to make your job something you love and are passionate about cause that helps. Also he's previously talked about how he got into trouble at school and I think even got kicked out of school or had to change schools twice(?) and how he couldn't hold down a "normal" job for the life of him. Think he managed like one day at Tesco's or something. And I think that was way before Lyme, so none of that comes into play there. And if you watch the lives, you'll see how much he moves around, constantly shifting in his chair and changing positions - some people on Rencord said it's almost impossible to get a clear snapshot for memes cause he keeps moving all the time. Sometimes he's like "Damn why did I say that/shouldn't have said that" - had a few of those moments in the last live as well. Oversharing or speaking impulsively before thinking about it - very ADHD. He's obviously a master of language and very eloquent and you can tell in interviews how much thought he has put into the things he talks about, but I think those philosophical topics he spend's a lot of time reading about and reflecting on. He did also say that he is on a low dose of Adderall and it's the only way he can sit down and actually manage to read like 50 pages of a book. There's also the little typos and misspellings in chat, in his posts and some even in his lyric videos - all very common part of the ADHD package. Sorry for the lengthy reply but it kind of irks me that sometimes people (not necessarily directed at you) look at ADHDers or other ND folks in general and think they can't possibly be because of what they think it is supposed to look like or because they don't fit the stereotypical image people have in mind. And it also varies greatly from person to person so while one person with ADHD might present one way, another ADHDer might present in a completely different way. It's why so many of us (btw especially ND females) have to fight for years to get a proper diagnosis and support. Kind of sucks to have your experience constantly dismissed or your struggle diminished, because you present or mask well or are successful in your profession. So many misconceptions out there... I think Ren is the perfect example of how an ADHDer can excell at something if they're allowed to do what they love to their hearts content and without restrictions or limitations. He can work on his music on his own schedule - doesn't matter if it's the middle of the night (insomnia hello! 😅) and playing instruments or performing/acting can be a great way of stimming or getting rid of excess energy - just pouring all of it into the music/performance. If he was forced to do a 9-5 office job where he had to get up early in the morning and do something that bores him to death you could probably watch him being drained of his life force. 😵 Sorry again but it's hard for me to let this go when this topic is very near and dear to my heart and experience. And so much of my energy has been wasted almost on a daily basis trying to fit into a world that's not exactly designed to accommodate us only to be denied proper support or invalidated in my experience because certain traits or talents I have make people doubt I'm struggling at all. 😔Just wish people would understand. 🥺❤

This one is just funny (and offensive in the best old school hip hop way). There's actually a lot of references here but after the 1st time I decided to just enjoy it for what it is and when I hear them enjoy them instead of trying to find them all. The Hallie Berry lines were actually pretty great... she was in a movie called Monster Ball (in which she showed her "hooters") and give head like Henry Tudor who was Henry VIII and beheaded 2 or his wives....lol... Ren did say he was looking forward to watching reactors with some of the lyrics (in the park) in this song.

Growing up I had very strict parents who wouldn’t swear or saying anything a touch bit crude even. This song feels like when I would see a movie and want them to see it. Then all of sudden there’s parts I totally forgot about and their anxiety was growing tense. I have a hard time watching a lot of the various rappers because of the gratuitous language

I agree not his best, but his recent songs hi ren, sick boi, jenny and screech have put him on a different level with many more people interested. I think Ren was aware that this is not the same level and was made before he has rose to a higher status. It sounds like Ren and his new song money game 3 will show his current level, I.e on a par with hi ren!!!

I'm not shocked by vulgarity. In my long life I've heard and seen just about everything. But, HipHop culture or not, this is just high school stuff, and Ren is 33. Huge fan of Ren's, and this is the first tune I've been disappointed with. The first three of the series were much better, IMHO.

@@ReactionTherapyOfficial and who exactly is he degrading? all women? do you think Ren is a misogynist? why are other female reactors/commentors on videos/my own family members not bothered by this but you are (as a man)? I mean, its entirely your opinion and you are welcome to it of course, but Ren is just having fun here, he even alludes to the fact that the comments in the song itself are immature, but also, as usual with Ren's songs, a lot of it is clever word play, such as Halle Berry, who was in a film called Monster's Ball in which there was a sex scene and she was naked and you could see her 'hooters'. Anyway, this is all besides the point, my comment was a reply to MrDidgee who was talking about 'think of the children' when hardly any of Rens songs are suitable for young children whether thats subject matter, language, sexual references, political messages or otherwise.

The fact that you have yet to react to parts one, two and three may explain why you struggled with this song. I think you need to relax your Christian morals that have little to do with the teachings of Jesus.

@@ReactionTherapyOfficial Sorry, but there is no such thing as "morals period". If you were born in a non-Christian society your morals would be entirely different. All morals are learned by societies and based on the prevailing religion which in America is something called Christianity - a belief system that totally ignores the teachings of Jesus. Whether you follow that religion or not makes no difference. Even atheists are usually Christian atheists despite their protests against all faiths. Culturally they remain Christians. Ren is just having fun here. I saw one British reactor take offense at the line about "your Mum...", taking it personally as if Ren was talking about that guy's Mum. Anyway, if you react to parts one, two and three I will certainly watch them.
