This song made me cry the first time I heard it - that nostalgia hit hard - and it has that melancholic feel of The Big Push and a parting fare well as Ren went off to Canada and their knowing they would each go out into the world in their own separate ways. Here's hoping they all stay good friends for years to come :)

Whenever Romain leads a song he always evokes a melancholy tone. He brings a romantic wistfulness to the music that is different to the others. Gorran does classic rock and that 60s folk and rock vibe to perfection. Ren is energetic brilliance punk chaos yet also deep soul wrenching poetry. They are so talented. Precious is another beautiful piece

This song makes me cry too! It is so bittersweet; the fun they had making music and saying farewell to that ❤️‍🔥✌🏻🫶🏻in this song! Romain sang the first verse and his vocals always lean toward melancholy! Such a great reaction and conversation!

This probably will always be my favorite The Big Push song they performed and wrote. I can’t help but cry every time .. these guys would probably have been on a different pathway if Covid and REN’s illness had not come into play.. I think you guys would love Romain’s song It All Feels Old.. it’s in that same nostalgic melancholic vein.. plus it’s one of REN’s favorite songs.. I promise you will love.. Thanks guys.. happy weekend.. ♥️

Loved this reaction. The video captured just how close these guys had become, and documented bits of their shared journey, their memories in the making. The song and the video definitely do have a slightly sad, wistful feel - maybe because they knew they were about to part their ways. Don, big respect to you for talking about your journey with alcohol. The nice thing about this reaction was that it really came across how close you guys are, and how much you have shared together. It is great to have those shared memories.

When this song came out in summer 2020, the nostalgia was for their pre-COVID life and performances before lockdown. It hits different after they split up in fall 2022.

Absolutely one of my favorite songs by The Big Push... I have listened to it on repeat many times. Not sure if anyone mentioned... That is Romain singing the first 2 verses. There are a couple of live videos with just him and Ren, and then also the group singing this song. I always enjoy when you two react together...and you go down memory lane ❤❤❤

This is such a beautiful track, filled with wistful memories and affection. I love Romain and Ren singing together, as it is always so chill. The Big Push look like they are so relaxed when hanging out together and that they had such a genuine bond during that moment in time. I love that these guys don’t seem to need the external crutches as much to be able to open up with each other, which is so cool.

One of if not the favourite song from The Big Push for me. There is just something so beautiful and emotional about that melody. It hits you right in the feels like it ignores any armour or shield you put up and just goes straight to the heart.

Interesting to hear that you both had also seperate circles of friends, yet you two connected so strong that you became bros, for life as it seems. I really would like to hear more of the story behind your friendship. I feel like friending a really good friend for life is just as special as finding a husband/wife to stay together forever. And it's also love you feel for close friends. My worst, most painful "breakup" was my, what I thought he was, best friend tossing me and our friendship to the trash.

This song is incredibly moving and it was cool to hear how the music relates to your lives. Beautiful… I recommend “Precious,” which has a phenomenal video! Also, “All My Heroes,” has no video but is fantastic an Ren said it is one of his favorite Big Push songs. 💔❤️‍🩹❤️

The emotions alone are a rollercoaster ride. The memories that come back are amazing but it also brings me to tears at the same time. Gives me the chills thinking about the amazing times I had with homies that have either passed. Moved away to Colorado and Oregon working Vail Resorts and I opted out because I had a great job instead of living my life and now they’re doing way better then me... bittersweet. I miss my friends and I’m glad they’re doing good being ski bums or whatever people call them nowaday. But they’re living and loving life while I’m sitting here struggling to get by day by day living miserably.

Thank you for your reaction! This song always makes me melancholic, but in a good ‚down the memory lane‘ way. It feels like The Big push‘s good bye world song and the way the footage is shot and presented reminds me of BTS footage of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Love from a 40 year old Austrian living in Germany who enjoys your reactions very much! 💜

They are a band of brothers. At first I thought the first line was “ Nobody to lead” which I thought was so aptly put for a band that has as part of its bio “ Ren, Romain, and Gorran share frontman duties “. It’s too often assumed that Ren is the “ lead” but as we’ve seen he is just as comfortable stepping back because he knows he’s surrounded by so much talent and they happen to be ACTUAL MATES - they put the music first and then work out who they feel will do it justice, whether it’s original music or covers and mash ups. They create space for one another. That space allows for the magic to flow. This video is so bittersweet knowing that they were disbanding so that Ren could go into serious treatment for the ongoing chronic after effects from living without proper diagnosis.

Bitter sweet moments boys, hold onto those and hold them close to you. As you get older they become so much more precious. This one always makes me emotional and nostalgic. I am much older than you boys and have lived a pretty full life that can quickly become empty without those moments. Love your reminiscing over those wild days. Kia kaha from NZ

Hey BP and Don! A hidden gem just fell into my youtube feed. Look up “Ren - Wild Place” posted by Water Drops 7 years ago. It only has 3,638 and 308 likes. I have been listening to Ren for 4 or 5 years and I thought I had heard all his music (including The Big Push and Trick the Fox), so stumbling upon Wild Place was unexpected. I would love to see you do a review, because I know you’ve covered almost his entire catalog! It is audio only, and though the photo is not him, I think you’ll agree his voice is unmistakeable. And in the description, they link to his channel.
