Young man. Your mind is so sensitive and exposed, that I cant help to feel a intense combination of admiration and fear for you for what its about to come. Surround yourself at all times of your lifelong trusted good people. Dont let the fake new friends that will come, use you and lead you to the wrong path to later drop you and forget you. I am twice your age, and see you as a light of hope for many. Be ready to lead their way with courage.🙏🙏

it's true ... the way people are these days is crazy and above all strange, therefore it has become increasingly difficult to create songs / films / works of art in general, because there is little that the world still has to to see. The fact is that Ren: you do it, you make us feel something new every time. And, apart from the talent you have, I think it is because in the end you really care: with this video you show us that you are not just making music but you are challenging yourself, you are doing something new, you want to move us from this omniscient apathy .. and I'm so thankful for that.

Well said, the one thing ,I take from Ren ,IS THAT HES SO CLUED IN,and has a deep level of empathy ,with those who have been left out ,he has been left with his mind ,and sifted out ,the "buzz"words ,and ,in a very human way ,is saying ,what so many of us ,see ,and feel disempowered .THIS ,is empowering ,too many dehumanise ,Ren ,brings back raw humanity ,in laymans terms ,wise ,beyond your years ,Ren ,no agenda ,just plain truth.

I'm taking a deep dive into Ren's past videos and came across this interview.... have to say all of Ren says regarding sensitivity and desensitisation is spot on and I'm sure a real difficult line to walk when writing songs but he puts so well here he clearly has such a way with words and ability to express himself that I think he manages it flawlessly!

This shows everyone the amount of thought process that Ren clearly puts into his music, his videos and his content in general, it's not luck, it's fully formed and intentionally thought provoking. The young man is a f*ckin genius beyond even what i thought. Switched on doesn't even cover it. The next few years are going to be so refreshing from a music perspective now that Ren is about to arrive with a bang. We in Scotland canny wait.

You just get it. The hyper focus of today is just so intense. I sit here alone all day in my head & consume this junk all day long. It just becomes so overwhelming because you just get afraid of that big bad world that you see out there. So you stay in here & consume. What a breath of fresh air you are. I don't sit here all day consuming that junk. I check in. I get some positive feedback then I try to get out in the world & just even take a walk. It's been quite snowing here these last few days. My walks have been mostly alone. But I saw a neighbor needing some help shoveling. Another with their car. This world isn't so bad. We don't need to sit here judging other's for just trying to live their lives.

I am SO happy to finally find someone who perfectly articulates what I try to teach and inspire my son, his friends and others. Ren is the wisdom, insight and energy I try to transmit to the world. If the world listens to him and gets those sentiments out better than I ever can, I’m 100% here for it. So many times I find myself either finishing his thought or blurting out some form of a “YES! Exactly!” more times than I can count. Edit - typonese

Truth. Prince said this (in different words, but same message), and so did many others. Throughout History. It's the kind of truth that some seem to have an interest in deleting, canceling, hiding. Yet, like a never ending chain of unapologetic and inevitable heros, again and again, throughout History, people like you come forth, gifted with the most open, most curious most outspoken and truly Human minds, and keep pushing it forward. Maybe there's one in each generation. Maybe there are a few. You are of those. Your message is now out here, and it is touching the community at the core. You said it in Hi Ren, and you can rest assured: your music, your art does make a change! Be safe, and be well 🦋.

The thing about being uncomfortable in mass produced media like movies, is that it's so true. Nowadays, at school, like take high school for example, you would get a story prompt for English class of a cliff, and the first thing people's minds would go to is suicide. Kill the main chracter. Poeple have become so accustomed to these things like rape and abuse and suicide that they purposely use it to gain more attraction. And i get that there are good people who actually spread the word about these horrible things with good motives, but it's been used so much, and so carelessly, that it's slowly becoming controversial and humanity begins turning on itself saying everyone's faking these serious mental diseases for attention. The people who actually have them now become too scared to speak up cause they're scared. Scared of being attacked by other humans. Please don't attack me, just expressing my opinions, you don't have to agree with them. But Ren, man, well done. That was...incredible.

Yeah this is completely true. If you try to vent your fucking crucified people will call you everything in the book and more, they will say it's not real or its bs. I've been told by family that what I'm saying is a so called "pity party" when I'm trying to reach out. It's such a shame.

I am happy to return to this conversation. One of those in which you pointed out the cruelty of modern man for the umpteenth time. There are days when I watch and listen to your earlier performances on the streets of Brighton, then gigs during the crazy times of isolation, everything you recorded up to number one, absolutely everything that can be found on the internet from other people who care about you and your art When all that review and absorb in a month, I realize that I rarely have time for another musician. Your versatility, the ability to push boundaries, absorb the energy of people around you, and at the same time remain yourself, is a rare trait of people in the world. So my prayers go out to you. We all pray in our own way, and God is infinitely patient and hears each of us. I wish you easy days and many great projects in 2024. ;) Nikako ne mogu da odgonetnem ko je Tony😅

This is so rare to see a young man like this who sees the world as it is, and understands. Many of us who are a bit older have got to see the huge shift in society after the internet was born, and social media took off. It didnt make society better at all. There is a band called DEVO Devolution.. their band is called that because they say that mankind isnt evolving, its devolving going downward.. After living for 50 years, I see exactly what they were meaning. People are missing out on real freedoms of being able to have speak and your own beliefs with out being attacked for them, and live in fear of someone hurting you because maybe you comb your believe in something another person doesnt.

This is why I love Jenny's and Screech's tale, because it creates this empathy by watching both sides. Even if screetch is the "villan" and while some people will just see him as a killer the song makes you remember that he is just a 14 years old kid, that he is a human and it doesn't let you feel happy for his dead, because you shouldn't. You are great Ren, I love your music and I'm happy to have found you ♥

Honestly I think about the song quite a bit and the way you can see how both sides are. With Jenny she was simply a girl just trying to go home, while screech did kill her he never felt good about doing it. He panicked calling people going to friends house but as Ren put it "The bitter hands of fate had something else in mind"

Very wise words from a young man that's when you know the worlds been rotten, you gotta do what you have to with the tools you have been given, since I found your music and listen to you talk actually inspires me to continue trying to create my vlogs and videos I make for entertainment but I've afraid of it never going anywhere or just no body finds them interesting but I'll keep trying :)

Another video highlighting the wisdom and brilliance of Ren. Hello Ren. I want you to know that “Hi Ren” has put the spotlight on your message to the world. “Hi Ren” has created an army. The Army of Ren. We march from video to video. We march from reaction video to reaction video. We spam the like button. We inundate the comment section. We flood the subscriptions. We share your videos and message on social media everywhere. We force the algorithms to share your message to the world. And we march on. The Army of Ren marches on. Grab your ketchup and crunch away my friends.

it's nice to hear sense from another person, respect brother. if only i were born closer to you, we could have been soo close. between creativity, attitudes, illness, psychosis, philosophy, passion, suffering i feel like you "know me", and we have never met.... hopefully you come and preform in Brighton, Christchurch and then i can come hear you in person. much love from NZ

Very insightful and bang on the money. Such a strange world we live in. Ren found a way to trigger people's emotions with Hi Ren in particular though - the stark dark truth expressed from diametrically oppostite perspectives - it brought all emotions to the fore. I'm a middle aged stoic man who never cries, but I've blubbed every time I've watched Hi Ren, and I've watched it a lot. Bravo young man, you clearly have a powerful message to get through to the world.

Wow. Well said. I feel like we all know the paradox and chose to ignore it regularly. I can't imagine trying to make it as an artist in this climate, which is why I have mad respect for the truly talented ones. Lots of love!❤

This man might just become the new modern day philosopher... he's not saying anything that prophetic, or new, or complex, or mind blowing... but he says it in a way that cuts deep into our hearts and souls. He says it in a way that anyone of any age and political spectrum can grasp, and find true. He speaks from the heart and with experience way beyond his years with wisdom and insight it takes the vast majority of people decades to achieve. He has obviously been through the fire, and gained insight into the pitfalls and symptoms of a broken system from living in it with honesty and with compassion. Spread the word about Ren and give this man his credit, he deserves to be lifted up to inspire all these sheep to be better human beings.

Well, I´m 52 now, and I´ve struggled whole my life with adhs , depression and worked as a nurse. I have had and still will deal with this. I´ve never lost hope, and never will. And I´ve gone through many therapistas and Clinicalistas.. Du hast in meinen Augen zur richtigen Zeit den richtigen Song geschrieben, Hi Ren! Andy Warhol was wrong. your song was 9 minutes long. And will be remembered on and on.

Twice before, I've been almost as moved by other artists as I have been by Ren. First was when Keats (in Lamia) described a snake. Second was when Millay (in Renaissance) reacted to "A sound as of some joyous elf | Singing sweet songs to please himself... ". From suicide to power and beyond, Ren can authentically embody a whole spectrum of emotions and personas. Joyous-elf is one of my favorites. (Thanks for sharing this video, Tony!)

I completely agree with you here Ren. I really admire how articulate you are in both your songs and your speech in general. It demonstrates a degree of intelligence far above the norm, whatever that may be. As always, it is good to hear your thoughts.

I'm been losing times the past few years because of some devastating things and your music and your way thinking reminds me of myself and helped me see some light in this world even know its crowded in darkness there is still love and respect in this world.
