@@reachmeorteachme Welcome to "BARDCORE" (as named by Ren) There are some "Difficult" songs to listen to, but there are also those that will have you shouting at the screen or laughing out loud. Just remember, It's a pendulum! Tip. If you see a "Part 3" there's always a 1 and 2! in 1 case, 2 versions of part 2... lyric first, "live" second 😉 (You'd be amazed how many get the order wrong and miss the context)

@@reachmeorteachme Cheers from Canada mate, I''m subbed and excited to see you've discovered Ren. You'll have many, many requests for some of Ren's greatest art pieces like The Tale of Jenny and Screech, Sick Boi, or his powerful Money Game series 1, 2 and 3, but I'd like to suggest that you do his latest release next🙏🙏it's called "Troubles" released on May 9th. The reason for my suggestion is because Ren really wanted this song to get as much exposure for M.E Awareness month. He created it as a message of HOPE for chronic victims and over all messaging to the general public to help in funding and studies. Briefly: Ren had Lyme Disease but was misdiagnosed for 7 years of his life from age 19 - 26, all the while the disease was crippling him. Ren at one point was bed ridden 23hrs a day with chronic pain, fatigue & psychoses until he was finally diagnosed properly & treated for his actual illness with a stem cell transplant. His song "Troubles" is the true story of his struggle for answers and at one point believing he would not survive past the age of 30. Ren created this song in a somewhat classic 90's story telling Rap format, gorgeous & vivid poetic imagery with a🔥🔥🔥beat that he created from a sample he purchased by Vera Hall, Trouble So Hard 1930. Now "Troubles" will give you a real feel for this artist but please don't sit back and think you've figured him out. Ren is a Singer/Songwriter/Rapper/Storyteller/Multi-instrumentalist guitar, bass, piano, drums/Studio Producer/Actor/Director and ((all self taught for the most part)). He's been called a generational talent and as most people who have watched his work will probibly tell you Ren never misses. Ren's work is always amazing or thought provoking, fun, etc, but never anything bad or forgetful. This man has a mind blowing catalog of work that touches on almost every genre of music and he moves in out of them as well as blending and fusing genre's at will, in unexpected ways. Many will say when you play a new Ren release it's exciting because you never know what you'll get from Ren. 👍✌.

It is so amazing to read them all. What other artist in any era can match that? Ren in my opinion deserves either a nobel prize for literature or better yet the peace prize. after all they gave one to bob dylan.

This really is the tip of the iceberg as far as Ren's talent you have one hell of a ride in front of you if you want to see more of him. Ren is self taught as far as the instruments he plays, he is so talented it's as if music flows through and out of his body. He was signed to Sony as a teenager but unfortunately got very sick before they could complete his first album so they parted ways. He has Lyme disease and went undiagnosed for a very long time which in turn caused irreparable damage his body and brain. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment in the hope to improve his quality of life. He has an incredible back catalogue of music and you never know what you're going to get with him. A lot of his videos are filmed live and in one take, they've even won two awards. He also played in a busking band called The Big Push and they have some incredible covers that will make your head spin. Ren really can do it all he's a once in a lifetime artist who deserves all the recognition and success. KZread reactors have played a big part in getting him the exposure he has today, he got a number 1 album in the uk last year which is incredible for an independent artist. Songs I recommend covering next are. Sick boi Seven sins The tale of Jenny and screech Chalk outlines Suic!de How to be me The money game trilogy And I highly recommend watching his 1 million subscribers video. Welcome to the world of Ren I'm sure all the renegades will be along to support you very soon.

I am still watching your reaction, He is a lyrical genius and has a tragic story. I post this small explanation should give you a little incite. A lot of his music deals with his past illness. He is very very intelligent and pretty much a regular bloke in his vernacular.. LOL Ren has been through some nasty shit, I copied this and post it on new reactors messages. He was bitten by a tick when he was 16 or 17 He got really sick from it and went to doctors and they could not figure what was wrong with him. When he had joint pain, muscle spasms, skin rashes, boils, internal organs started shutting down, And Doctors had no idea what was going on. He was loosing weight and had constant fatigue could not even stand to shower.. Doctors started sending him to psychological evaluations, They told him his mind was making him sick ! And started treating him for that with some heavy pharmaceuticals. And all that shit really fucked with his mind, He started believing he was crazy. And this went on for 8 fucking years !! 8 YEARS !! He pursued his own symptoms and lead to a Doctor that gave test for Lyme disease. Where he lived it was very rear to ever contract Lyme disease so he was never tested. When he went in described his symptoms the Doctor knew what he had. Ran the DNA test and found it in his system. However it has been in there for 8 years and has done a lot of damage to his body. He can only eat like 6 things his bones still hurt and the autoimmunity may never be healed. He had to go into surgery to remove tissue to generate stem cells grown outside his body then under go treatment taking the stem cells to help with the autoimmunity and help heal his deterioration of muscle, and a very aggressive antibiotics regiment to cure the Lyme disease chromosome. That was in LA then he went to Calgary and under going treatment on the damage the Lyme left.. He is still there until June. Welcome to Ren he is a talent I have never seen. And I have seen a LOT !! He has 209 songs on u tube no joke I pretty much like them all new and old !! His older lyrical videos are great try, everybody drops, He

I found Ren just over a year ago. I was a patient of ACT Mental Health at the time here in Canberra. During a phone consultation with my psychiatrist (a professor at ANU) and his ANU med student observer, I eagerly recommend they watch HI Ren. During the session, the doctor offered me a list of approx. 15 alternative medications to replace the one I had stopped taking as it didn't work (I declined all of them). We made a next appointment date and finished the session...... The psychiatrist was suddenly unavailable for my next appointment. I was told he was on leave of unspecified length, and after 7 months of waiting, was told I could no longer be a government client of ACT Mental Health (after 15 years), and would have to go private if I wanted to see a psychiatrist! lol I think REN hit a nerve with the fragile ego of the mental health nazis here in the small town sewer of unflushable turds here in Canberra!!!! Give me a dose of Ren's music any day!! :-)

Watch Ren again? YES, PLEASE! I really resonated with your comments - thank you for a fantastic reaction I would recommend The Tales of Jenny and Screech trilogy (the 13 minute version with all 3 songs is the best in my opinion) - this shows off his insane storytelling skills. Great reaction video..... One of my favorite things is watching somebody discover ren... Hope you dive down the Ren rabbit hole, you won't be disappointed. Next, I would check out the full trilogy of Jenny and screech... then maybe sick boi... After those you will want to go a little more upbeat so maybe hunger or murderer... or one of my new favorites is back on 74..... he was in a band called the big push, you'll definitely want to check out their stuff. Ren and chinchillas chalk outlines is hauntingly beautiful. He surrounds himself with wonderful talent .. I've never seen another artist like him..... Of course hi ren is his masterpiece but you'll be blown away by his other stuff too I I can go on and on about Ren ... I'm a new subscriber I really enjoyed this reaction video. Thank you see you at the next one Peace

Once you discover the genius and talent of Ren you are willing to stop and watch endless reactions to the same song. It doesn’t get old seeing people react to Ren for the first time. Regardless what song you select, once we see it’s Ren , we will pause to watch and listen. After you’ve delved into his music a little more you should watch what he’s recently been posting . One chapter at a time he is telling us his true story of his illness and all the suffering and difficulties it caused him to struggle through. Unbelievable his will to survive, so fortunate for Ren and all of us that he refused to succumb, refused to give up, throw in the towel. We would have missed out on so much that he had to say, so much he had to offer us. Even though his struggle has not ended, he has found ways to cope and continue with his purpose in life. I’m grateful for that and thank you for reacting. His music is not meant to be just background noise, the message is lost unless you watch and listen to every word.

That's what I'm like with Pink Floyd. Seeing people hear them for the first time is awesome. Makes me wish I could experience them for the first time all over again. But now I get to do that with a bunch of amazing artists, like the one and only Ren.

@@reachmeorteachme Absolutely!! Pink Floyd will always be one of my all time favorites. For me, a lot of it is in the story telling. 'Floyd, Jethro Tull, Styx, Hendrix, James Taylor, Elton John, John Denver, etc, etc., etc... All phenomenal story tellers. One that always pops in my mind, when I try to compare Ren to other artists though, would have to be Prince. ... He was another "one and only...". Once you get deeper into Ren's library of works, you'll get what I'm saying. 😁 Buckle up, and enjoy the ride/show! Cheers!

Great reaction! Ren is a musical Swiss Army knife so what you watch next depends on what you want. Beautiful duets - Chalk Outlines (live) and How to Be Me (both with Chinchilla); a gobsmacking trilogy with insightful social commentary - the Tale of Jenny and Screech; something fun? His band The Big Push and their covers of Bongo Bong, Englishman in New York and Praise You. Rap - The Hunger, Illest of Out Time, Genesis; Ren the crooner and lost son of Sting? Back on 74/Message in a Bottle Retake. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg…

It's not often mentioned, but if you notice at the end of the actual song (guitar playing, singing dancing bit) his last chord on the guitar does not resolve . . . he leaves it hanging, almost "unfinished" which ties in with the whole eternal dance theme. It's never finished, the dance is forever.

All Ren's huge catalogue is top tier stuff, he really doesn't miss musically. However from a 'mind blowing' and conceptual music/video perspective, aside from 'Hi Ren', would be Tales of Jenny and Screech (full 13min version) and the Money Game trilogy - both are incredibly profound, and 'jaw dropping'-ly creative.

This was an outstanding first-time reaction to Ren. I've heard this now easily 100 times over the past year. I (like other Renegades) enjoy watching reactors experience him for the first time... especially with this masterpiece. You picked on the meaning, the depth, the nuance and the intensity far better than most on the first listen. As many will tell you, ANYTHING by Ren will be excellent. In MY opinion, even after hearing it so many times, this is (my opinion) his most profound work. His portrayal of the human struggle is amazing. Your reaction was ALSO amazing. Great job! Keep it going!

Stayed till the end, loved your reaction ♥️ I've found that goosebumps happen when you realise you're in the presence of greatness. Ren's intelligence and talent is found in everything he does and I'm excited for you to discover him more, you won't be disappointed. Sick Boi is a good one to do next, but you might want some background on Ren. Ren is an independent Welsh singer based in Brighton, England. When he was a teenager he was bitten by a tick unbeknownst to him. Oblivious, he started developing unusual symptoms while studying music at Bath University but after several visits to the drs, they decided it was all in his head and dismissed everything as psychological. As a result Ren was put on several psychiatric medications that only made the problems worse (as they were not treating his infection) and Ren suffered with episodes of psychosis, severe pain and fatigue among other horrible symptoms. This went on for 8 excruciating years while he tried several things he'd find on the Internet in he hope that one day he'd be cured of whatever he had (he didn't know still). Hi Ren was written at a time when Ren thought he didn't have much longer on this Earth and he wanted to leave something behind that would help others that were also struggling, a legacy as such. Thankfully, he came across a Dr in Belgium that diagnosed him with Lyme's and he started treatment straight away and felt some improvement. Unfortunately, because the disease was allowed to run rampant for so long, Ren's body suffered with autoimmune reactions as well as brain and nerve damage. However, he is currently in Calgary, Canada where he has been receiving treatment since the release of Hi Ren to help him with these problems. In the meantime however, Ren has managed to release an album (Sick Boi) which made it to the UK's #1 (beating Rick Astley!) the week it was released! An incredible achievement considering everything and the fact he's independent and has no radio play at all here. If you're interested in knowing more about him, in his own (wonderfully eloquent) words, he is currently releasing a daily 'reading' every day live at 6.15pm (UK) time @renmakesstuff where he is telling is how his disease and life started and progressed to raise awareness for M.E. and other chronic conditions. They end on May 9th with the release of a new song. Looking forward to your next reaction, subbed for more ❤

Word of caution. Ren has lots of light stuff, but some that hit pretty hard. Be good to yourself and choose carefully on days that are a bit tougher. Secondly, there are VERY specific versions of the songs that his base want you to react to so to save you the endless ’wrong version’ comments on your feed ask people to leave a link to the version they want and your life will be a tad easier. Great reaction mate. Stayed to the end. Subbed for more.

You'll have a good time watching Ren, he's a multi-instrumentalist, great vocalist, great writer and produces everything he does. He and his former group, The Big Push, are also incredible. They used to play on the streets in Brighton, England, there are many videos that've been watched millions of times. They make cover songs their own in an incredibly unique way and also have original music. "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" (not just I Shot the Sheriff video) is a good intro to them.

I first saw Ren (Hi Ren) on The Charismatic Voice reaction channel early last year. The caption on the thumbnail said, "Ren 'Hi Ren' has me in tears." I had no idea who Ren was, but I wasn't in the mood to watch something sad at the time. Still, I clicked on the link anyway, having no idea what kind of journey I was about to embark upon or how much it would change my outlook on life and creativity.
