You want it there because you can relate to the lyrics so it's confirmation bias for you. Their POV is that life is constant cope and when people think about it, they get closer to bad stuff happening to them, so it's a bad idea to remind them of how it is. So they would rather play happy braindead music.

@@fatjuicymeatball2266 not to a lot of people. the "us vs them" mindset is the root of most racism, foreign hate, white supremacy etc. our brains are still evolutionary programmed to think "our tribe good their tribe bad" because until we started living in cities, meeting a different group of people was genuinely terrifying. it doesn't help that a large portion of our current world leaders also push narratives to polarize the people to divide and conquer, making us fight among ourselves instead of looking at what's wrong with society at a macro level. Trump is a prime example of this, and he has perfected the "art". so while it SHOULD be obvious, it really isn't. the Palestine vs Israel conflict is literally kids fighting for a toy, and because all Abrahamic religion has placed such an importance on the land, it'll never end.

I am currently going down this Ren rabbit hole. Started with "Hi Ren" witch blew me away enough that i watched every reaction video that i could find these past 6 Days. Every Song i found either hit so close to Home that i had to hold back tears or just pinned me in place by lyricism and delivery skill. Wow, I'm a fan. I seen a lot of comments (especially from people in our 40s, that I noticed) about how finding Ren has reignited their passion for authentic and all rounded proper artistry. Almost like we had not noticed just how much we been starving for it. I started out this weekend hoping Em would get his ears on Ren, a collab perhaps? I actually came across this artist/lyrical genius over a year ago. I was struggling with decades of depression, anxiety, and spirituality I was lost. My faith was being upended due to my brother's terminal cancer diagnosis. This song specifically (but the artist in general) really touches the soul and got me through some dark times, so thanks, man. Ren has remarkable talent and his music is a gift His melodies bring light to a sometimes cruel world. This guy is a living legend tbh. He is mind-blowing, kind, has a huge heart, and is beyond inspiring. Rave over lol.

l had the same experience and lost faith, but l can't see the human race being just a aleatory thing, so l started studing human history and the religions to get ansers, and now l can say that there is something more than just what we can see, l don't no if it's name is god or another, but l know that there is something controling this universe.

Some of us create beauty on this earth, ren is one of them.

Hmmmm.... It's worrying to think that someone like Ren could easily slip through the cracks of a massively broken thing like the ‘Music Business’. I for one am so grateful that Ren and his fans have worked so hard at getting stuff out there to the people who need it most. Someone sent his music and poetry my way, or i found it, even if it was just the KZread algorithm, although i'm sure it was via some Big Push viewings years ago... anyway I’m thankful and will continue to rant on about Ren to anyone who'll listen and hopefully add my little bit of promo along the way. From comments on this and other tracks it’s clear to see that Ren has literally saved lives, right here, right NOW, and will hopefully continue save those lives, or at least make people question things or seek help, for a long time to come. Dear Ren, my mental health journey has been somewhat similar to yours, though not nearly as intense (and I'm not a fuckin musical genius). I'm 63 now. Some things have gotten easier for me. What i wanna say is that i hope things get easier for you as well, that you can feel the pain and glory of creating, but without drowning. I hope that for all of us. im personally atheist but dont do anything bad please. just because there isnt an afterlife, just because there isnt an inherent meaning to this mad and unknowable universe, that doesnt mean our limited life isnt worth living. we have an effect on people. our decisions can change things, for better or worse. so even if there isnt a higher meaning, there can be a personal meaning. a meaning to be good. to help people. and even if that doesnt sound like enough: maybe the meaning of life is just to live. to do what you enjoy because you enjoy it. maybe thats all you really need.

Well done voicing your opinion but it is just that all religions are true and untrue at the same time until we die, so you can believe what you want because even being an atheist is a belief system we can not know what will happen, it could be nothing just like before we were born it could be a after life or we may just be reborn we will never know. Ether way I hope you have an amazing life and let us see what may or may not happen after this life we will live.

This is beautiful, and I completely agree, I’m agnostic and believe life is about living and just forming it to the best of our ability, there is too much good out there to let the bad weigh you down

The fact I wanna die and this song started playing randomly though the magic of autoplay really doesn't feel random at all. This song makes me cry all the time and i can only hope i'm on the right path. Especially after listening to How To Be Me a few times, i guess this song answers that question

God saved me, I wasn't even trying to stay. I was just waiting for when I'd finally succeed. Miracles do happen, Im still flabbergasted lol
