Removing vent levers on 1971 VW Bus
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
After a lot of fighting, I finally got the little red and blue vent levers off so I could remove the instrument panel. I searched the internet for information to help me and found very little, so I thought I'd make a video showing you how I did it. Hope it helps somebody!

Thank you. I could not figure it. Took a break and found your video. Saved the day. It worked. I removed my radio and glove box for more arm room.
I am somebody who benefitted from this!
You sir are legend! Been scratch my head looking at how to do this exact same job for an hour or two. Found other channels who gloss over it. So Thanks for posting this 👍

I’m so glad to hear it was helpful!!
My dude. Thank you very much for making this video. Just had to remove my leavers so I could repair my glass that covers my fuel guage. Also installed the clock I've had for over a year while it was apart. Absolute legend. 10/10 would recommend
Been buggin me since I got my Bus (71 loaf). Now I can clean the dashboard!
I did this a while back and tightened the springs by simply bending them. I did not replace the little plastic nubs and everything works just fine as long as you don't pull the levers out when you adjust them for fresh air or heat. The tighter springs keep the levers nice and tight so no problems. It's nice because you never have to fiddle with the nubs when you want to remove the levers to access behind the instrument panel.
Now I need to source replacement pins as mine crumbled
WAY easier going through radio hole.
I wonder why you did not just carefully bend the ends of the control levers? lot less work and less risk.

Because that's not the proper way.
