Builders here in Germany tend to use a mix of winches and these like elevators for moving materials up to roof height 9:00

This whole series has been an amazing watch. I have subscribed for my very first KZread channel! So many parts of this are exactly like mine is going to be so I have learnt so much. What did you do to fix the original ridge board to the steel? My drawings show it underneath the ridge board but seeing you do it like this, I’m going to take the same approach to get the height. Got a few more questions coming your way 🤭

Hi Mark welcome to the channel. I dare say we would have bolted a timber inside the web of the steel. Glad you have enjoyed this series and thanks for watching 👍🏻

These videos are amazing. Does the fact that there is now an unbalanced load up against either side of the ridge steel (due to one side being the dormer) pose any problems? What’s stopping the weight of the sloped roof and heavy tiles moving the steel towards the back of the house? Hope this makes sense

Qq what rules have you guys had to abide by when doing a loft conversion butting up to a solid/multi fuel chimney?

Great video. Whag was the finished head height of the loft? Im considering dropping ceilings to provide additional head height so curious as saw measurements of 1876mm which seems quite low

Dependant on where you live. You’d have to do a search for steel fabricators near your location 👍🏻

Hello Joseph, hope you're well. I'm afraid if you want such specific information then you're going to have to ask a hell of a lot nicer than that.
