It takes a certain kind of talent to dig some scrap out and make it work for the truck. It’s a work truck. And yeah, I could barely tell you patched it. 😊 You need about 8’ more added to the depth of your shop. Add a deck on the house and make it a roof for more shop area. 😊

You really need to make a 4 part chain ring. Then one chain on the bucket to go through that ring. Much less of a struggle when lifting things like that. 😊

What I like about you Dave is that with you, what you see is what you get. You are upfront and honest with what you do. Most guys that point out what they think you are doing wrong most likely do things the same way you do. Keep it up.

The truck looks great. What about taking the cover off the old box and putting it on the rebuilt box and the side door off the old box and put it on the other side mangled side

Don't worry about paint, mix old oil and trans fluid and spray light coats over the whole frame/running gear. It works!

If you take the pieces you cut out and turn them upside down and backwards you can fill the cutouts you had to make.

You said you hated your welder. I noticed you were not using the gas shield on the gun. Are you using coated wire? I never tried mine without the shield but I generally use gas with mine. I tried the coated wire but didn't like it. I enjoy your videos.

I bought a ford with a reading bed. And it's about as much as shape as yours. I called a reading dealer to get replacement doors and the cheapest on is 900 with no latches or hinges. Cost the price of a bed to re door the unit.

I have to build a room on the back and didn’t want to put siding on until it’s done so it all matches and sun fades the same

Just wondering why you couldn’t just cut a piece of diamond metal to use for the patch job on the corner of the cab? Just like you cut a piece of metal for the door to cover the rust.

I thought you saved a door off the donor truck- I imagine youve got a good reason not to use it, my curiosity is just piqued though.
